Vampire AU (MX)

Part 2 -cause I wrote it a little too long and decided to stop cause I got another idea psssh

Instead of replying him, Hyungwon pouted and lifted the ice cream in his hand.

"Can you gonna give this to me for free?" He asked and Shownu frowned.

"As beautiful as you are, my job is to make sure customers pay," Shownu said while smiling softly. He would give everything to this person for free but a job is a job and he needed the money. Hyungwon smiled while keeping his pout.

"Smooth. Here." Hyungwon handed him money for the ice cream and opened it after he scanned it and kept the money. Hyungwon leaned against the counter while looking at Shownu who clearly took a step back.

"What are you doing?" Shownu asked, his mind half going crazy and the other just trying to hold on to his sanity or purity. Either one. The other was obviously seducing him when he brought the ice cream to his lips and bit it.

"What do you think of me now?" Hyungwon asked. He was curious about Shownu somehow. This human seemed different from other humans he have met.

"I don't want to think of anything right now." Shownu was obviously sweating and trying to pry his own eyes away from the sexy embodiment in front of him. The low cut coat without any inner shirt that Hyungwon was wearing wasn't helping Shownu calm down either. Why the hell is he even wearing like this was all Shownu could think about. But he remembered their first meeting and he was dressed similarly but with a cape as well.

"Fancy. I'm giving you a treat you know," Hyungwon smirked while moving to sit on the counter instead.

"I'm not exactly gay," Shownu mumbled. Hyungwon leaned in closer.

"Neither am I. But I'm a vampire so let's cut out all these straight bi crap," he whispered with hands reaching out for Shownu who moved out of the way.

"But there are male and female vampires. This... is still wrong," Shownu said. Hyungwon hissed and stood up properly.

"I don't really think much of myself clearly. I don't think I'm an attractive person. I have quite the sharp tongue too," Hyungwon said and took another bite from his ice cream. "And I bite my ice cream instead of licking it."

An awkward silence took over the small convenient store when Shownu didn't move and Hyungwon kept staring at him while eating his ice cream.

"Are you not happy with my reply?" Hyungwon asked when he noticed Shownu wasn't going to speak anytime soon. The other looked at him and shrugged. Hyungwon sighed and took a pen from the counter. He walked over to Shownu and took his arm. Shownu's first thought was to pull his hand away but every other fibre of his body resisted that thought. Hyungwon wrote down his phone number and tossed the pen back onto the counter.

"This time, you have a way to find me. So I'll be expecting it," Hyungwon said. He smiled but Shownu felt like his smile seemed rather sad. He couldn't understand why but he didn't ask either. With that, their second meeting ended.

Few weeks passed this time and by then, Shownu had already memorised the number that had been long gone after a few good washes. He held his phone for God knows how many times. He didn't save the number either. He pulled his bag to a better position and sighed. He wanted to call or just text but he wasn't sure what to say or do or anything. He sat there alone for a few more minutes before noticing the pair of shoes in his view. He looked up to see the other vampire from that night. He flinched and his body knocked against the table.

"Aren't you that boy from that night? You're still alive huh?" The vampire sneered. Shownu's lack of reaction irritated him slightly. "I'm guessing Hyungwon let you off the hook. I would kill you right now but we're in public."

"Wonho? Who's that?" A blond hair boy came jumping over excitedly. Wonho huffed and started walking away. "Oh? Not going to introduce me? Awww. Bye!" The cheery boy waved at Shownu who waved back.

So his name is Wonho huh... and he even goes college. Woah.

He was definitely in a bad mood all week. Even his partner didn't dare to disturb him with his menacing aura. He was expecting a call or even a short meaningless text but when he received nothing all week, he started getting uneasy and frustrated. He went back to the convenient store a couple of times but never stepped in and just watched as he flipped through his book studiously. Hyungwon would have crashed in by now if it was just anyone but somehow he felt relaxed the moment he set his eyes on him. Like there was something calming the rage within him then but comes back once he stops looking. He didn't want to go inside to look for him either. He wanted Shownu to find him instead. It was a childish thinking but Hyungwon didn't want to seem easy in a way but it didn't seem to affect Shownu or so he thought.

After a few more weeks, Hyungwon started panicking and wondering if the boy had forgot his existence or number. He would pace about outside the store but never stepped in. He didn't know how to remind Shownu of him without meeting him.

"Why're you so tensed up and walking around here?" Hyungwon heard a voice ask and he turned to face I.M.

"None of your business," he snapped while pretending to walk away.

"Are you interested in that guy there? I heard from Wonho hyung you didn't kill a human even after he knew about our existence," I.M said while staring at Shownu. He was about to go closer when a hand on his shoulder stopped him.

"Don't you dare go inside," Hyungwon hissed while holding on tightly.

"Are you going to fight me? I won't harm him or take him if you are targeting him," I.M said honestly. Hyungwon glared at the younger. "And why're you being so agitated for? Do you like him?" That question caught Hyungwon off guard.

"Do I what?? I do not. No. Like? Him??"

Their little stare down resulted in Hyungwon's red face and I.M's little victory.

"Okay. Maybe. Just a little. Interested. Not like. Not yet,"Hyungwon muttered while covering his face.

"This is the first time I see a vampire blushing. You look almost human," I.M said. He patted Hyungwon on the shoulder. "If you want him, you gotta go get him. Humans don't wait as long as vampires after all."
