I haven't uploaded in a few days because my mom took my phone away. My brother kept me up until 12:00 and i yelled at him and woke my mom up. So my punishment for waking her up was to get my phone taken away. This chapter will be extra long to make up for it.

chapter 2

Mckenzie's pov
We ended up driving for 2 hours on the way there I fell asleep. When we finally arrived to the orphanage a few people came out to greet me and Mrs. Pawlock. She greeted the kids and introduced me. The kids came one by one to greet me a few of them tried to hug me but I backed behind Mrs. Pawlock in fear. After that she took me into the orphanage. She took me to a room when we got there she opened the door and there was a girl about my age standing there with a smile on her face. She introduced herself as Jade. I went into the room and sat on the second bed and pulled my knees into my chest and started crying. Mrs. Pawlock came over to the bed and gave me 2 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of shorts, 2 shirts, 2 sweatshirts, 2 tank tops,and 3 sets of pajamas. Then she tried to hug me but I backed away and gave up. Mrs. Pawlock took Jade out of the room and said that it would take time to get used to her . she then said give me time and I would warm up to her she then said OK and returned to the room. By the time I was done showering in the cold water it was time for bed. I got ready to go to bed and went to sleep.

That was my first night in the orphanage.
