It was a hot and sunny day. I've been riding for day's from New York to Tulip. New beginning but strong reputation. Seeing my home come up ahead I can't help but smile. It sat perfectly between two old looking homes standing proud. See my home was built on the lower class of town the greasers side and I was brought up as one. My parents thought me how to appreciate things and help those who can't defend themselves. My parents had food jobs and dressed like high class but they weren't stuck up or snobby that's why they built a home here. Parking my bike on the drive way I cut the engine taking off my helmet I shake out my hair and hop off. Climbing up the steps I unlock the door and the smell of cinnamon, wood, and coffee hit my nose like a slap to the face reminding me of both my ma and pa. Everything exactly how I left it a few years ago except all the dust that's fallen. A honk has me walking out and a moving truck sat parked I front the house. The driver hops out also know as Frank a friend of mine

"There you sweetheart" he grins walking up to me as I meet him half way

"Thank you Frank. I can take it from here" I pay him on the back as I walk towards the back and open it up

"The mighty Midnight says thank you. The boys back home won't believe me!" He chuckles

"Have they asked you to get them an autograph?" I snicker seeing him grumble

"Yea they have. Don't leave me 'lone till I bring one home. I'm planning on never returning home" he huffs as I take out boxes

"Nah you'd fly home if you could. How the wife and kids?" I ask wiping off sweat from my forehead

"Their good. Timmy keeps asking for ya you know. Ellen's the same keeps baking keeping the house warm. Oh! She told me to give you this"

He walks to the front of the truck as I keep unloading boxes. The smell of a baked pumpkin pie has me grinning from ear to ear. Ellen's baking is to die for.

"Pie! She shouldn't have. Thank you Frank" I tell him taking it and placing he on top of some boxes

"Ah you know Ellen. Wouldn't take no for an answer"

"So Timmy's been asking bout me? Is that right"

"Yea keeps crying to see 'Godma'"

"How cute. Tell him I'll be calling later tonight"

Nodding we talk for a while longer till I'm done and left with boxes outside my lawn. Waving as Frank drove off I turn around and get to work. The smell of pumpkin pie taunts me as I pass by it hands full of boxes. After a while I hear hollering behind me making me stiffen. Looking back eyes cold as stone and watch a group of boys laugh and shove each other and walk into the house upfront of mine. Two smaller kids stop walking and look my way and begin whispers to eachorhwr. Shaking my head I walk up the steps but stop once I hear someone shout behind me.

"Hey! Need some help!?"

Turning around the same boys stood on the sidewalk upfront of my home. One has brown red hair, brown with honey speaks eyes, wearing a plaid red shirt to big for him, he has muscle but bit enough, looking around 14. The boy next to him has black hair, tan skin, he has cuts on bus face, a black shirt, Jean jacket where his hands are shoved in making him look shy as he tightens it around himself some more. He looks like a puppy making me feel sad for him. Looking at them hard the brown hair one smile genuinely while the black hair one won't look me in the eyes. Narrowing my eyes I see him squirm under my gaze making me laugh surprising them

"Sure kid you guys can help" I tell them grinning

"My names Ponyboy Curtis and that's Jonnycakes" Pony grins

"Well the names Midnight Luna"

Their face turns a pale white once they heard my full name. Making me worry for their health

"Y-your Midnight L-Luna" Johnny stutters

"Yea. Here come inside and sit down. Y'all don't look so good"

They nod and I guide them inside. Leading them towards the living room I sit them down and hurry towards the kitchen. Graving them a glass of water seeing as that's the only thing I got to drink here. Walking towards them I hand them the glass and they take a sip staring at the glass as if ita going to kill them

"I didn't poison you if your wondering" I chuckle seeing them relax

"How come your so nice" pony asks making me cock my head to the side a little

"What do you mean?"

"Y-your M-Midnight Luna. You've b-beaten up p-people with o-out a s-second thought" Johnny stutter staring at me wide eyed making me go soft

"Not everything you hear is true kid. I am cold, mean, rude but to those who aren't good people. I have beaten up people with out a second thought because they weren't good guys. I'm not mean to you guys well because I just can't when Johnny here reminds me of an innocent puppy" I grin at them

With that said we get back to work. We talk getting to know one another more and joke around. In the end I gave them a tour of the place and they wear amazed at the size and elegant of the house. Sending them off with half the pie I shut the door with the promise to see them around. Walking towards the kitchen I grab a plate from the back room and eat a slice of pie before bed. Tomorrow I need to go buy groceries. With that in mind J drift off to sleep
