Japan, over than nine hundred years ago

A twelve years old Frankenstein stepped on the narrow and stony path in the forest. His little hands swung around his body as his agile feet stepped further on the ground. Long, large trees surrounded him. A song hummed through his thin lips softly.

After walking for about twenty minutes he reached his destination and sat on a long log. He let out a deep breath as his long fingers stroke the smooth grass around the log. Wild flower and vines adorned the scene, along with the warm sunshine that brushed his face gently. A breezy day is the perfect time to play, but right now, he prefer to relaxing. And it just a matter of time before his eyes closed and he fell asleep.

The sun slowly sets and the blue sky turn into a beautiful shade of yellow and orange. A small brown furred bird flew to a branch near him and warbled. His eyes opened at the sound and he gazed around. Realizing he has been sleeping for too long, he rushed to go home. The sky is getting darker each minute passed. His vision worsening and he got lost in the middle of the forest. He tried to grope the trees so he won't fall down.

'Where is the path?' He panicked.

Blinded by the darkness in the forest, Frankenstein stumbled and accidentally trapped in a pitfall. Fortunately, the hunter who made the pitfall has not added the sharp woods in it. It was supposed to be a bear trap or any kind of wild animals.

He landed on a hard ground, his body is full of dirty soil now. Groaning, he looked up and realized he trapped in a five meters depth hole.

"Hello? Somebody help me!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. But no one came, and he stayed there for hours and keep yelling, until he felt exhausted and fell unconscious.

The next morning, Frankenstein woke up with sore throat and starved. His eyes jolted open when he felt a soft material around his body and head. He's laying on a bed in a stranger house.

Someone opened the wooden door gently and entered the room. Frankenstein's blue eyes met a pair of the most beautiful shade of brown he ever seen.

"So you're awake.." she smiled gently

"Where am I?" he croaked

"A farmer's house.. I found you last night in a pitfall and asked this kind farmer for some help"

"Thanks.. but, how did you find me? Girls are always scared to walk around at night" he raised an eyebrow

"Well, let's just say I'm not an ordinary girl. I sneaked out last night to see some fireflies, instead I found a boy in a bear trap" she shook her head and chuckled

"Anyway, here.. eat first" she brought a wooden bowl of porridge and a cup of tea.

"Thanks, again.." he murmured

"You are most welcome" she giggled

"My name is Miyuki, yours?"

"Frankenstein"

In the afternoon, he felt a lot better and thanked the kind farmer. He spent the next few days with the girl and long story short, they became close friends. They walk together, eat together, play together, they almost together all the times.
