Michael's POV
I was so confused when I woke up. Someone was ACTUALLY shaking me awake. It was new and I wanted to wake up and punch that person right in the throat. I tidied myself into the fetus position, bringing my sheets over my head with a muffled sigh. Soon, I was falling back into my dreams when the person shook me again. I was starting to ponder on how long it would take me to kill them and still get 10 more minutes of sleep while narrowly missing Mrs. Franks class but not entirely. Another shake.
"Michael, I do believe you have school on Mondays." I pull my sheet down quickly, eyes widening when I see Ashton. He has glasses lazily sitting on the bridge of his nose, his hair under a beanie.
I reach forward slowly, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion. My finger comes in contact with his cheek. "So human like."
~*~*~
Class was a living hell, lunch was a living hell, personal time was a living hell and for once in my life, getting home seemed perfect. I just had the undeniable need for Pokemon, Frozen and Mean Girls. Go ahead, tell someone, I have eyes and ears everywhere. Like the illuminati. Never mind, those shits are scary. I shove my arm into the door, walking into the house and slamming it closed behind me. I walk into the kitchen, grabbing a can of orange Fanta and cracking it open. I take a long sip and sigh in contentment, turning.
And spitting my Fanta like a spray gun.
"Oh my god, Ashton, why haven't you flickered out yet?" I ask, my heart beating loud enough to break not only my ribs but the ground underneath me. "Maybe I should get checked about this. Is my head hot?"
Ashton didn't look up, he was writing in my book. "You suck at math."
My eyebrows furrow as I lean my elbows on the island. "What exactly are you doing, Soul Eater?"
"Soul Eater? How much anime do you watch?" Ashton asked in mild disgust.
I roll my eyes. "What do you watch? DIY videos?" I scoff, dropping a blue straw into my Fanta can. I lean back down with a sigh. "What are you doing?"
"Your homework."
I smiled, wiggling my brows. "Really?"
"Homework helps me think." Ashton inquired.
I nod. "Duh."
"No, Michael. It helps me think about something else rather than my life and its twisted story line." He said, putting the math book down on a stack of books. "I already did those two book reports and the paper on the origin of bombs."
I smile widely. "Thanks, bro. If this is for a blowjob, I don't give those. I only accept them." I say with a wink.
He stares up at me through the rim of his glasses mistakenly being sexy and innocent all at once. What the hell? I'm talking about a soul for goodness sake, I really do need to get check on this one. I might go crazy from this. "Say your kidding."
"Why would I lie?" I say, seductively smirking.
He stands quickly. "Of all people to get stuck with..." He grumbled on as leaving the kitchen.
"Michael?" My head snaps up to my Mom. "I heard you talking. Who were you talking-" Her voice cut short as she stares wide eyed at the stack of the books on the kitchen island. She smiles widely. "Aw, my baby is finally growing into his responsibilties of a young man."
"What? Young man fuck other young man all the time." I grumble as she pulls me to her chest. I swear mothers exaggerate the action of exagerating.
She pulls back, standing on her toes to kiss my head. "I'm so happy for your darling. You keep it up and we might let you go to Korea."
"Japan." I correct.
She snaps. "Right." Turns on her heel and leaves.
I roll my eyes, staring at the stack of books as a plan forms in my mind. I quickly sprint to my room which was empty. I should expected that because I'm not supposed to be talking to someone who might not be there. He slowly crawls from the hidden side of my bed, looking at me with wide lost eyes. When he sees its me, he scowls, crawling back into his spot next to the bed. I close my door behind me, crawling onto my bed and he crawls to the other side of the room.
"Why are you still here?" I start.
He shrugs. "I tried going home. Everytime I wake up, I'm back at the bottom of your bed." He says, his voice aggravated. "I wish I at least knew why I was stuck with..." He looked at me like I shot his mother. "What do you want?"
"I'm offering a deal." I said slowly, sipping at my fanta.
He glares. "I'm not giving you a blowjob, Michael."
As awesome as that sounded- especially considering his very nice lips- I roll my eyes, fanning him off. "If you continue to do my homework, I swear I'll try and stop hitting on you."
He stares at me a minute. "Promise?" He straightened his gaze on me, drilling a hole in my head.
"Ye- I mean, what's so bad about someone tellign you your attractive? Because your ass...dude. Your. Ass." I say, fanning myself as if its hot. "I don't even know what do with myself."
Ashton throws his hands up. "I'm done."
"No, no, no, okay, I'm sorry." I said quickly.
"No, your not. You have more shitty comments to say, don't you?" He challenges and my head lists them off. Your lips, your innocent eyes, your ass, your innocent eyes, your hair and did I mention those glorious innocent eyes.
I shake my head. "I have nothing else to say." I've never lied so hard in my life. "Just do my homework and I'll leave you alone."
He studies me. "Promise me."
I bite my lip. "I promise I won't do anything your uncomfortable with."
"That wasn't the deal." Ashton again narrowed his gaze. This guy is in-fucking-satiable.
I roll my eyes. "Well, until we find out why the hell your here, I can't really guarantee you I can hold my tongue." I retort with a sigh.
"Just don't talk to me like everyone else does. Like I'm invisible." He clarifies.
I groan. "That's the problem. Your not invisible to me, Ashton."
Ashton's POV
This is how it started. Witty comment that I accepted and cherished because I thought he liked me. My mom liked him, I was pretty sure everything was fine. But theres a breaking point where you can't just comment, you have to step your boundaries. And Michael, he seemed like the guy to step peoples boundaries. I despise the fact that every comment he throws makes my stomach twist and turn and my heart pop. Because what happened before is what took my will to live away from me.
Somehow, Michael brought it back. And I hate it.
