The warm feeling of the LA sun felt very good as I walked down the street back toward the house. I liked walking around LA. There were more areas here than in Boston and I really liked that. It was a lot of fun. So as I saying: I was heading back to the house and I didn't seem to notice anything following me. I didn't really care to be honest. But I should've cared when the car stopped right in front of me and the door opened.
"Hey Hayley" a familiar voice said from behind me making me spin around only to be met with a fist to the face. I fell to the concrete ground once the fist connected with my face. I coughed before looking up to see my brother.
"You-" I started but he cut me off by jabbing me with something. Whatever it was made me feel dizzy and my world was spinning around like crazy. I laid on the ground looking up at my brother who had a smile on his face. Soon everything around me drew dark and then next thing I know I was unconscious.

(Few hours later)
I rolled over in my sleep before I blinked my eyes open. I sat up and looked around. I had no idea where I was. I had never seen this bedroom before. I swung my feet over the side of the bed. I went over to the door and tried to open it but it was locked to keep me inside. That was something I didn't like. I rammed my shoulder into the door making a little dent in the wooden door.
I backed away from the door and tried to kick it. I kicked the door hitting it with my heel making a another little dent. I knew how to fight if I needed to. I kicked the door again making a hole in the door. I stuck my hand through the hole and reached over unlocking the door. I pushed open the door and looked around. Where the heck am I? I have never seen this place before.
I ran down the hallway quickly before I ran down the stairs. I rushed over to the front door and attempted to open it but the sound of someone clearing their throat made me turn around. Danny stood there at the stairs leaning on the wooden railing. He raised his eyebrows and gave a soft chuckle before walking forward.
"I saw what you did to the door" Danny said pointing up the stairs. He smiled and took a seat in the living room, "you can't leave, Hayley. Even if you tried you won't escape. I know you."
"You know nothing about me. I don't want to be here! I hate you!" I said glaring at my so called brother, "I will find a way out of here. And I will have you arrested!"
"Why would you do that to your brother?" He asked like he was surprised that I would want him behind bars.
"You're crazy!" I said picking up a vase from the counter and throwing it right at him. He didn't have time to duck so it hit him too. Blood dripped down his forehead before he stood up in anger.
"I'm not crazy! I wanted to see my little sister again. And I would do whatever it would take to get to see you" He growled.
"I'm not your little sister anymore. I never will be. You're a selfish jerk" I said looking at him with anger. I could feel my blood boiling inside of me. I was so mad, "don't you want me to be happy?"
"Of course I want you to be happy..."
"Then let me go home!" I yelled.
"This is your home! You don't belong with that stupid actor!" He yelled loudly.
"This will never be my home! I don't belong with you either. But I know I belong with Chris because he cares about me!" I yelled back.
"Then how come he hasn't found you yet? You've been asleep for two days and he still hasn't found you. Does he really care about you?" Danny asked taking a step toward me slowly. I took a step back with a glare.
"He cares about me. If he didn't care then he wouldn't have taken care of me when mom died. He wouldn't have let me stay with him. You don't even know what kind of a person he is. He's the nicest guy in the world. And you'll never be like him" I growled before I rushed forward giving my so called brother a good punch in the face. He groaned and rubbed at his jaw before I kicked him where it really hurts. He groaned and bent over in pain.
"You little-"
"Language!" I yelled quoting Chris in Age of Ultron. I smiled and grabbed a baseball bat that was laying against the door. I smashed a window and looked at my brother before climbing out and making a run for it. One problem: I didn't know where I was or how to get back home. I started running as fast as I could. I ran down the driveway before I reached the line of trees. I ran through the trees and jumped over fallen logs. My breathing was heavy. I continued to run for a little more before I arrived in the small town that was not too far away. I saw someone walking so I rushed over toward them in a panic. They probably thought I was crazy.
"I need to see your phone" I said hoping they would let me use it. The person nodded and let me use their phone. I dialed Chris's number as fast as I could. I had it memorized.
"Hello?" A voice came on the other side. He sounded like he had been crying. He sounded worried. About me...
"Chris?! It's me Hayley! I-I don't know where I am. I ran as fast as I could!" I talked really fast hoping he understood what I said.
"Hayley?! Oh my god! I was worried sick" Chris said as I heard him let out a small sob of happiness. I looked at the person and asked what town this was.
"I'm in Aquinnah, Massachusetts" I said hoping he knew where that was.
"Okay. I'm heading there now. I'll call the Boston Police and they'll come and get you until I get there. I'll have Scott come and pick you up at the station" he said as I heard him running around the house.
"Okay... See you soon" I said before I hung up and gave the phone to the person before I rushed toward the police station. I needed to tell them about what my brother did.
"HAYLEY!" I heard an angry voice yell. I turned and saw Danny running toward me. I ran to the police station and threw open the door. I looked at the one officer and ran behind him.
"He's gonna take me away!" I yelled as Danny ran into the station. One of the police officers put Danny in handcuffs and escorted him to a holding cell after I explained everything to them. The one police officer got me some food. I sat in the office and ate the food he had given me. It was a cheeseburger from the place down the street. It was pretty good.
From outside, I heard a car screech to a halt and a person rushed in. I looked through the office window seeing Scott looking around. I pushed open the door and rushed out hugging him tightly. He hugged me back and looked at my face for any cuts or bruises from anything that Danny would've done.
"You had me scared to death, Hayley. When Chris called me I got into the car as fast as I could" He said, "come on let's go back home and get you into some clean clothes. I'm sure Chris is dying to see you later. He was so worried."
I nodded and we headed out to the car. I climbed into the front passenger seat and buckled up before we started heading back home. On the way I took a nap in the car before we got back to the house. I smiled seeing the house that I was so familiar with by now. I got out of the car and rushed inside only to get hugged by Lisa. I couldn't help but cry when she hugged me.
"It's gonna be okay sweetie. Chris will be here soon" She said with a kind smile. I nodded and she went upstairs with me. She got me some clothes and a towel. I went into the bathroom and took a shower before putting on the sweater and sweatpants. I decided to take another nap. I had been pretty tired from running and my feet hurt really badly from running.

When I woke up a few hours later, I felt a hand move hair from my face. My eyes blinked open and I rolled over. Tears formed in my eyes seeing Chris. His eyes were red and puffy from crying. I hugged him as tightly as I could. I buried my face into his shoulder and just cried. We sat there for a good while just crying and hugging each other. I was so happy to back beside him. I felt safe. I grabbed a tissue for me and him. I dabbed at my eyes and looked at him giving him a sad smile. I couldn't help but cry again.
"Hey stop crying. It's all gonna be okay now. He's in jail. He won't be out for a good while" Chris said looking at me. I nodded slowly in understanding. My brother was in jail now for a good while. I wouldn't have to deal with him for a while now. Everything was going to be perfectly fine. As long as I was with the one guy that cared about m most.
I laid my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes tightly. Everything was gonna be okay now. I felt protected. At first I thought of him as someone who would split me and my mom apart. But now I think of him as someone who I would see as a father figure in my life. I felt very grateful to have him here. He was the one thing that was keeping me stable.
