sam snuck back in gabriel's room as soon as his brother left.
he sat down in the chair beside to golden haired boy, frowning.
the heart monitor beeped dully throughout the room, sam took one of gabriel's hands and ran his thumb over the soft skin.
as much as sam knew, gabriel was in a coma. the doctor told him that it was unlikely for him to have amnesia if he did wake, sam was relieved for that news but they also said that there was a good chance he might not wake up.
and sam was not even close to prepared for a moment like that.
