he'd hoped she'd say something like "oh, that's great, but know i could still sometimes drive you!" but she only smiled. he d i d n ' t u n d e r s t a n d his own feelings anymore. was he happy with his money or not? what he did know, was that it was now his turn to drive her everywhere. maybe they could even hold hands over the shift stick, like those cheesy couples, he thought but quickly waved the thought away.
he'd probably never get to do that.
