Ten minutes later, we arrived at the movie theater. I sent a quick mass text to Pietra, Ariana, Liz, Perrie, Niall, and Zayn to let them know we were here, telling them to meet us in the lobby.

The parking lot was packed; I giggled as Harry and Louis bickered like a married couple over where to park. The theater was in a shopping center near the mall, and it was bustling with afternoon cheer. Moms pushed babies in strollers; girls in shorts walked by talking animatedly to each other. A couple about our age sat on the fountain, holding hands and talking, laughing like they were having the best time in the world. I frowned; it seemed like everyone was in a relationship lately except for me.

At last, we found a place to park, and we all got out of the car. As we made our way to the theater, the guys walked in front of me, and even though my legs were as long as theirs, for some reason I couldn't keep up. I heard them laughing about something, and Harry looked back at me before giggling with Louis like third grade girls.

"Keeping up, are you, Amber?" Harry teased.

"Ha-ha," I said sarcastically. They burst out laughing. I rolled my eyes and continued to follow them to the lobby, glad I wouldn't be a third wheel for much longer. Even though I'd been around the two forever, sometimes it was hard to be one of the guys. I sighed as we fell into line.

When it was our turn to pay for our tickets, a girl with straight blonde hair stood behind the booth. Her eyes lit up when she saw Harry and Louis, and they roamed up and down their bodies as she looked at them seductively through her eyelashes. I recognized her as April, a girl that went to our school. She was known notoriously around school for being the girl who literally banged everyone there.

"Hello, how can I help you today?" she purred, raking her hand through her hair. "Don't you guys go to Rosefield? You look so familiar."

"Yup," Louis said stiffly, looking uncomfortable. Harry and I exchanged a glance, trying not to laugh; Louis had a one-night-stand with her last year. April had sex with so many guys, she probably didn't even remember that she'd had sex with him. Louis just stood there, frozen, not knowing what to do. Harry and I glanced at each other again.

Suddenly Harry stepped forward. "Three tickets to Insidious 2," he said, handing her his credit card. She took it, looking a little confused

"Harry, you seriously didn't have to do that, I brought money," I told him, concerned. Wow, he was going to pay for all of us?

He smiled at me, an actual smile. Not a smirk. "My treat."

I laughed, still a little weirded out. "See, these are the moments when I wonder if your soul is momentarily abducted by aliens."

"Very funny, Dots." Harry rolled his eyes and took the tickets from April. Her hand fell limp as she gaped at us.

"Come again," she called after us, but we ignored her.

I literally had to drag Louis away from the booth. He still had his mouth open, his blue eyes wide and shocked. Harry and I burst out laughing as soon as we were out of earshot.

"You okay, mate?" Harry slapped Louis' back, and that seemed to bring him back to earth.

"Good lord." Louis pinched the bridge of his nose, taking a breath. "Did you see the way she looked at me?"

"Honestly, I don't think she even remembered," I put in, smirking.

"Whatever," Louis huffed as we opened the doors to the cinema lobby. The cold air contitioning blasted as soon as we walked in, making me shiver. Goosebumps prickled on the surface of my skin, and I rubbed my arms, my teeth already chattering.
