Chapter 10

Last night the little game me and max played was fun well only for a minute or so because Max was being stubborn and didn't wan to answer the question so he got in a cold shower for five minutes. Because Max refused to take a warm shower after he woke up this morning with a cold, it's nothing bad but he still has a cold. I asked him to stay home but Max, being his stubborn self again, didn't listen to me and came to work. He has come to my office about three times now and asked me to make him something for his stomach. I just went in to give him some chicken and noodles soup.

"(Y/N) someone is here for you." Adam says popping his head into my office right after I had settled in from taking care of Max. I sigh and I get up. Once the door comes into view I freeze. I see my EX standing at the door.

"St-St-Steve," I studier. "What are y-y-you doing here?" I ask. He looks at me and smirks. He walks in and over to me. He stretches out his hand to glide it on my cheek but I flinch back. I'm terrified of Steve, the whole reason why I broke up with him is because he started to beat me over stupid things. He would beat me for not doing you know what with him, not doing his homework, even if I talked to my best guyfriend.

"Hello (Y/N), it's nice to see your doing well." He says in his low voice that I thought was attractive but now it just makes me cringe.

"What are you doing here Steve?" I ask again backing up.

"I came to take you back." He says smirking at me. I feel shivers of fear go down my spine. I shake my head and start to walk away, not wanting to be close to him. I feel him grip my arm making me yelp, hopefully loud enough for someone to hear. "Why're you trying to get away princess?" He asks gripping my arm harder. I think of what to do and who to call for help. I can't call for Max because he's sick... Maybe. Adam!

"Adam!" I yell and I can tell the fear is leaking though my tone. Steve quickly tries to pull me out the open door but I grab the door rim. I feel the fear get greater as my fingers start to slip. "ADAM!!!" I scream this time. I feel the tears slipping down my face as Steve pulls one last time and my fingers slip. I hear the running footsteps of what sounds like many guys. I grab onto the rail and the steps and I finally Adam, Ross, and Barney come into view. Ross grabs my hand the was on the tail while Adam and Barney pull Steve away from me. The grip on my arm is gone in seconds of them being here and I fall into Ross who squeezes me as I fall into tears.

"Don't come back again or I'll call the cops!" I hear Adam yell at Steve.

"Thank you." I sob as I look at the guys. They nod, Ross still holding me tightly, as we walk back into the offices. Ross leads me to where Max is. Max quickly turns his head from what he is doing.

"(Y/N) what happened? Are you ok?" He asks getting up and he pulls me into a hug. I sob into his chest not really knowing what to say. "Tell me when you've calmed down." He says in a soothing voice. I nod as the tears fall like a water fall. Max leads me to my office. He closed the blinds before sitting down and setting me down on his lap. No more than five minutes I calm down almost completely.

"So... My EX boyfriend come... He used to beat me for many stupid reasons. When I asked him why he was here he said to come take my back. When I tried to walk away he grabbed my arm and started to pull me out the door. I called for Adam then after I was pulled outside I grabbed onto the rail and screamed for Adam then Ross, Barney, and Adam come and helped me get away from my EX." I explain. Max nods, running his hand through my hair because while I was explaining everything I had become a bit tense. I rest my head on Max's shoulder and sigh.

"I'm glade you're ok" Max says the to me after a minute or so of silence. I nod.

"Yeah." I all I can think of saying. We sit there in silence for a few more before finally getting back to work.

*ok, yep that happened. What do you think? I had a lot of fun writing this chapter and it's now 12:19 in the morning so... Yep.*
