Chapter 15

It's been a week since the thing with Steve happened and all week Max has made me stay home which did me no good because I didn't have anything to keep my mind off what happened but it was mostly because I have thrown up every morning but then I'm fine the rest of the day. Today Max finally let me go to work which I'm very happy about. We arrive at the office building and get out walking up the stairs. Max wraps his arm around my shoulders as we walk into the offices. I'm immediately greeted by the guys. Adam engulfs me in a hug. He looks over me and smiles.

"You cuts are better and also your bruises are cleared mostly." He states hugging me again. I smile feeling safe again. The rest of the guys greeted me with a hug. Even Em hugged me which is unusual for her. I finally got settled in my office and Adam gave me a few videos to edit so does Red and Barney. It takes me a few hours to do Red's video and I get half way through Barney's by the time it's lunch.

"You wanna go to subway?" Max asks popping in his head I shake my head and continue on the video. "You not hungry?" He asks I shake my head. I just don't want to go out to eat.

"Could you bring me something back? I don't really think I can go out in public yet I don't feel comfortable enough." I say stopping what I'm doing and I look over at him with a small pout. He sighs a little.

"Fine. I'm gonna ask Adam to stay with you." He says then walks off. I go back the video and Adam comes in after a few minutes. I don't say anything or look up at him I just keep working. I hear him grab a chair and sit then I see him roll up to my desk from the corner of my eye. When I finish is when I look at him.

"How you doing?" He ask in a New York accent. I giggle a little at the voice making Adam smile. "There's my little sister." He say referring to when I would laugh at his accents he would do.

"I'm doing better, but I may not get over what he did to me." I say as I think about what happened a week ago. Adam nods a little understanding.

"Would you please tell me what he did?" He begs. I haven't told anyone what he did to me because I'm scared of what they'll think and do to me in the future. "(Y/N) I'm your brother you can't say anything I won't understand." I nod a little and take a deep breath.

"Steve, he... He got me pregnant." I confess. Adam's eyes widen at the news and he immediately fills won't anger and I can tell because he grips the chair's arms. I go to touch his hand but flinch back when he stands up and leaves the room. I knew this would happen.

"That bastard!" I hear Adam yell then I hear a thud. I just sit in my chair scared about Adam would do if I walk out of my office.

"Adam. What got you so mad?" I hear Max ask.

"Steve! Got my sister f*cking pregnant!" I hear Adam yell. Max walks walks to my office handing me my food and he sighs. I give him a look to ask if he's mad at me.

"(Y/N) I'm not going to get mad in front of you I know you don't need it." Max says trying to stay calm. I nod and I get to my food. "And don't worry about anything we'll get though this together, ok? Just because he's not my child doesn't mean I don't want anything to do with it." I nod again not having anything to say.

"Thank you." Is all I can manage to get out. Max nods and leaves to give Adam his food before coming back in and starts to eat.
