Sacrifice for the Sun (Mace/Sunshine)

Elizabeth's POV

Harvey, Trey, and I are currently trying to pull Mace away from Capa. Mace got angry, because Capa sent a message that made the wind too high. Now, none of us can send a message.

"Mace, calm down. That's not worth fighting about.", I said with his face in my hands making him look at me. I get it why he's mad, but not worth killing Capa about it.

"FUCK!!", Mace said pacing around the room. I'm to do everything I can to calm him down, but nothing is working. Capa has really pissed him off. He was forced to go see Searle and I went with him. At this point, he's just staring off into space. I held on to his hand trying to clam him down and he squeezed it tightly.

"So how does this work? I'm suppose to tell you about my childhood?", Mace said being a smart ass just like always.

"I don't know anymore about your childhood than you do.", Searle said. I curled into Mace's arm knowing why he's been acting this way.

"It's the time", I said scooting closer to Mace. "16 months, you get you use to anything. You just...lose track." Mace and Searle look at me weird. It's like I hit the hammer on the nail.

"I know I fucked up. From now on, we're not gonna lose track again.", Mace said looking into the monitor.

"Description. The Earth Room....2 hours for both of you?", Searle asked.

"Don't need it. We keep each other calm in here. I think we'll be fine.", Mace said smiling down at me which made me kiss him on the cheek.

"Alright. Just get a haircut, Mace.", Searle said smiling at us. We then walked out of the room and into ours. I layed down and Mace layed on top of me, wrapping his arms tightly around me. I started playing in his hair and kissing him on the forehead, calming him down.

"I love you so much, Liz. I'd probably go insane without you. Right now, you're all I've got.", Mace said slowly dozing off.

"Ditto", I said as we slowly fell asleep in each other's arms.
