~10 years ago~ (Robin is 7)

"Momma momma look what I can do!!!" I shouted from my bedroom window as momma came running up the stairs smiling

"What is it darling?" She questioned, I focuses my mind and called out for the bird perched on the branch a few meters from the window, it soon turned its head and flew gently towards my outstretched hand but as I turned to look at my momma expected her to be proud and amazed I was met moth a look of horror and disgust

"What are you? What have you done with my daughter!" She screamed at me as tears collected in my eyes

"What do you mean momma it's me Robin!" I cried stepping down, silently telling the bird to fly away

"No stay back you- you monster! You mutant freak!" My momma screamed at me backing away like I was some sort of disease

"But momma I can't go any where I'm only 7!" I cried not knowing what else to do I tried to run towards her my small body falling as she pushed me away

"I'm calling the police! I can't believe I gave birth to such a vile thing!" She yelled running down the stairs as I cried out for her

"Momma no! Please don't go!" I called out after her scared of what she might do to me.

After hearing nothing from downstairs I slowly stood up to look for my momma but as soon as I stepped outside my room I jumped at the sudden sound of sirens heading straight to the house, my eyes widened as I turned around and headed straight for my window.

Standing on the ledge looking down from the third story window I starting weighing out my options when an idea came to mind.

Hoping I was light enough I called out to whatever bird could here me hoping they would come save me and after a few seconds I could already hear the sound of wings flapping heading towards me.

Suddenly panicking as I heard the heavy thumping of lots of people running up the steps I jumped but they came just in time to catch me in their claws, there was around 30 birds all working together to help me get away.

I smiled tears in my eyes as I looked back at the place I once called home, catching the eyes of the person I once called momma and staring at the people who were sent to capture me, I sent one last teary eyed goodbye before the birds carried me to a strange and new place. Here we go.
