Jordan walked to her kitchen early the next morning. She have to be at the office around nine. So she wanted to get an early start. She put on a pot of coffee, and fried her eggs with toast. That should hold her until she go on her lunch break.
Her front door open and close, and Jessica walked in the kitchen, and sat down at the small table. She put her head down, and sighed.
"Okay, what wrong with you this morning?" Jordan asked Jessica.
"Sleepy, plus I start the job today." Jessica said.
"Oh yay, that's good, right?" Jordan asked Jessica.
"I guess it is. I'm just so use to mom and dad getting me everything I need. Since I finish high school, they just throw me off on you." Jessica rolled her eyes.
"You act like that's a bad thing. I let you have your freedom, plus I'm not down your back. You pretty much have it made with me. It's a good thing they let you go. You didn't want to go to college, like me. You want to be free and now you are. You just not going to not work and not go school. You choose work, over school. So deal with it. I'm not trying to sound mean, or irritated with you. I just want to see you do good." Jordan said.
"I just don't want to work right now." Jessica sighed.
"Well you not about to sit around my apartment, and be a bum all damn day either. So go take a nap, and get your ass ready for work. On my lunch break, I'll be in to get an iced coffee." Jordan smiled.
Jessica sucked her teeth, and mumbled under her breath as she walked out the kitchen.
"She'll get over it." Jordan said.
Exactly nine o clock, Jordan pulled up at the real estate office. As she got the car, she saw the boss him self stepping out his car too. She tried not to stare at him in his business suit, but he looked nice in it.
"Right on time I see." He smiled at her, as he hold the door open for her to enter the building.
Jordan smiled, "Thank you, and yes. Have to show a good impression right?"
Rakeem nodded his head.
"You're right. Your office not ready yet, so I set up a mini desk space in my office so you can work." Rakeem told her as he open his office door. He knew he would have to go around and speak to everybody, but for now he wanted to get Jordan set up in her small office space.
Jordan smiled when she saw her small office space in the corner of his office. He even set a mug on her desk for her.
"Wow, this was very thoughtful of you. Thank you so much." Jordan beamed with happiness. Rakeem nodded his head and walked back to his desk. Jordan sat her purse down by her desk and sighed. She took her portfolio out her purse and sat it on her desk. She was working on her dream home now. Nothing to big, just something big enough for her and her little sister.
"Your lunch break can between 12 to 1. That's when mostly all the meetings are going on, it could get pretty loud around here." Rakeem said. Jordan turned to looked at him.
"It gets loud at a real estate office?" Jordan raised an eyebrow.
"Yep, when my people get contracts like I do, and they don't meet the deadline, best believe people come up here tripping, but mostly it be the people fault. If you can't come on time for an appointment to look at your house you want, why get mad about it? It's not my agents fault." Rakeem shrugged.
"Understandable. I see why you overwhelmed." Jordan muttered to herself, but he heard her, and laughed.
"Now you see." Rakeem said.
