MINDY'S POV
"Where are they?" Stiles asks pacing back and forth.
We've been standing in front of this magical stone wall for an hour and a half and we still have not seen any sign of Julie or Scott coming out of there.
I look over at Stiles to see him pacing back and forth along the sandy ground causing small particles to move along with him. "They are going to come, I can feel it." I say.
"Well then why aren't they here yet?" Stiles shouts pulling at his hair.
I stand up and walk over to the wall. Cracks are scattered throughout it and it's probably about 10 feet high. I touch its cold surface and realize that it's damp. Water dropplets form on different areas of the rock. I go to remove my hand, but find that I'm stuck to it. I pull hard trying to detach my skin from the slimmy surface, but it doesn't budge.
"Lydia, help," I say, panic clear in my voice. "My hand is stuck to the wall."
"What?" Lydia asks getting up from a rock she was sitting on. She brushes dirt off of her dress and walks over to me. She tugs onto my wrist and is shocked when she discovers it's stuck. "Stiles, come here."
Stiles gets up and heads into our direction. He too gets the same expression when he finds that my hand doesn't move. "Could it be some type of security system, or a trap?" He asks looking up at the wall.
"I don't care what it is, just get me off!" I shout swinging my free arm in the air.
Stiles bends down and picks up a few rocks off of the ground. "I just want to know so that an alarm won't go off if we detach you," he says tossing a rock at the wall. It sticks immediately. Then with a thin stick he wedges it between the rock and the stone wall slowly prying it off. Once it's free he picks it up to reveal that half of the rock is still stuck on the wall. "If we were to rip your hand off it would take your skin, and maybe even some of the tissue underneath, with it. We will have to find some other way."
I look at Lydia as I feel my chest tighten. "What are we going to do?" I stutter. "What if you have to cut my hand off? Please don't cut my hand off!"
"Mindy, relax," Lydia says, rubbing slow circles on my back, "we will get you off of here." She gives Stiles a look of uncertainty, as if asking him sliently, What do we do?
Stiles and Lyida move to the side and talk to eachother in private, while I still stand stuck to the wall. I shut my eyes breathing in deep, slow breaths, trying to visualize that I'm not actually attached to this large sticky stone.
Help.
My eyes shoot open. I look around to see Lydia and Stiles still talking to eachother. Am I imaging things?
Hello! Help!
I look around again, hearing the distant voice. I lean a little bit closer to the wall, careful not to touch. I shut my eyes, tuning everything out around me and behind the wall I hear a faint, Is anyone there?
I step back in shock. The voice is too light for me to recognize who it is, but I assume it's Julie or Scott. "Hello?" I shout.
Hello! Oh thank god!
"Scott? Julie? Is that you?" I ask, causing Lydia and Stiles to look at me.
"What are you-" Stiles begins but I stop him with a Shh.
No! The name's Tyler!
My heart stops beating. He's safe. Thank god he's safe. I look at the wall hoping to find some type of door built in this thick stone wall, but I can't seem to find anything. "Do you see an escape? Some type of door?" I ask him.
