Henry POV
I'm kissing Char.
Well, not exactly.
"Just pretend to make out with me." I whisper while doing make out motions.
"Why? Why does Blake opinions matter to you?" She whispers back.
"Because it has to do with you. And you're important to me so what he says about you is important to. So come on and just do this." I whisper quickly.
She sighs before reluctantly agreeing, even going as far as closing her eyes and closing the distance between us. We fake it for a little before I pull away. Then I turn to Bianca and Blake with shocked expressions. I throw Char onto my back and run out of school.
I dropped Charlotte off at home before returning to my own house.
"HENRY!" Piper yelled.
Oh my god, I really don't need this right now.
Piper marched angrily over to me. "HENRY!" She yelled in her annoying voice. "What Piper?" I ask as I evade her and walk over to the kitchen. I open the fridge to look for something to drink as she begins ranting.
"Listen to this! Jana Tetrazini now has 300 more followers than me on TwitFlash! Even after Jasper and I ruined her reputation! I AM NOT OKAY!" She yells.
"Why are you going around and ruining people's reputations? That's not okay." I say as I point to her and make a fake stern face. I really don't care. I'm walking up the stairs, ignoring her, while she continues to rant about Jana.
As I get to my room, I wonder how Piper became so temperamental. I close the door and jump on my bed, using my phone carelessly. Then I hear a knock at my window. I look up to see Charlotte.
I go up the stairs and lift up the bottom window pane.
"Hey, Hen." She says as she gets in. "Ray needs us down at the store. It's an emergency." I look up at her. I can tell through the way she's enlarging her eyes that it's some Kid Danger/Captain Man business.
"Okay, let's go." I lock my bedroom door and climb out the window with Charlotte. Then we make our way to Junk N' Stuff. When we walk through the door, Char and I already knew something was up.
"Hey... guys. What's up..?" Charlotte cautiously asks.
"Can you two come down to the Man Cave and watch an incriminating video with us?" Ray says in a creepy voice, with a creepy smile. Char and I look at each other skeptically.
"Sure..." I say. We go around back to the elevator. Ray, Schwoz, Char and I all pile in. Ray pushes the button and we go tumbling down into the Man Cave. Schwoz and Ray are fine but Char ended up falling on me. Once they left the elevator, Charlotte got up. Then I got up and basically ordered Ray to get the elevator fixed. He just ignored me.
"Y'know, I feel like you don't listen to me at all, Ray." I say, feigning hurt. He still ignores me.
"You guys need to sit down," Ray orders, "watch this video that Schwoz recovered from your school today." He smirks. I try to think of anything Ray might want to use against me. I can't come up with anything... My eyes widen and I look at Charlotte, whose eyes are just as wide as mine. We turn towards the monitor where we watch everything that went down after class today. Then we get to the fake making out and we both blush really hard.
"So... You guys are a thing now? And don't deny it, the hard core evidence is right on that screen." Ray says.
"Well we didn't even kiss, that was all fake." Charlotte says.
"I'm sorry, what?" Ray asks.
"That kiss," I point at the screen,"isn't real. Our lips never touched." I explain.
"How's that even possible. You were kissing right in that video!" Schwoz said.
Charlotte got up from the couch to explain,"No we didn't. Half of that is Henry telling me to fake kiss him while he's fake kissing me. Which is why I have a super slow reaction. Nothing happened."
"Prove it." Schwoz says.
Before I could react, Charlotte grabs my face and begins to fake make out with me. Just like earlier today. So obviously I play along, to help strengthen our case here. She pulls away and turns to them.
"See? Not. Real." Charlotte says.
"I know. We saw. You don't have to rub it in." Schwoz says dejectedly.
"Anyways, why are you guys so intent on us getting together?" I ask. "Yea. Why does it matter?" Charlotte asks.
"Because you guys are so cute together. And you practically do everything together. Like it's suppose to be the 'Three Musketeers' but when was the last time you actually hung out with Jasper? The three of you?" Ray inquires accusingly.
"What about—" Char began.
"Or that time when—" I started.
"Remember—" Char tried again.
We looked at each other.
"Crap," I say," they're right. But that doesn't mean we're relationship material."
"Yea." Charlotte says defensively.
"Whatever you say, kids." Ray says.
"Wait, what about the emergency in Swellview?" Charlotte questioned.
"The video was the emergency." Ray yells as he disappears inside the secret door.
"What is up with everyone? First, Blake and Bianca and now Ray and Schwoz? Next thing you know, there's gonna be fanfictions about us getting together!" Char exclaims.
"I know right? It's so weird. But I really want to know what's been going on with Bianca and Blake. Like what made them do this? Why have their attitudes suddenly change? Do you think someone is putting them up to this? Should we ask them or not?" I inquire.
"I agree. Something is definitely up. We should ask Piper. She knows everything about everyone because she's always glued to her phone." Charlotte says.
"That's a great idea. Let's go." I say. Charlotte tries to climb over me but it doesn't work out. I laugh before lifting her out of the couch. She turns to me in my arms," I could've done that myself you know."
I look at her incredulously as I put her down. "Sure..." We get on the tube pads. I hit my belt buckle and the tubes come down over us.
"Up the tube!" We say in unison.
