The next day when Lucy went to meet Natsu, he had a lot of paperwork in his hands and surrounding him.

"Natsu...?" Lucy called hesitantly, wondering what he was doing. He looked up as if caught in mid thought, brightening when he noticed who it was.

"Lucy!" He replied cheerfully, grinning widely. He hopped up from his seat on the floor, stepping carefully over his scrambled mess.

"You're just the person I wanted to see." He thanked the heavens for directing Lucy this way, shaking the leafs of papers in his hold.

"What's...going on?" She turned in a full circle, speechless.

"I'm glad you asked." His smile turned slightly evil as he pulled her forward, displaying a few sheets. "They are reference sheets. To find someone who might interest you." He explained, pulling out a few more colorful pages. Lucy seemed to stare at them seriously, though she was still trying to wrap her head around everything.

"Wait wait wait...you did this for me?" She asked quietly, staring up at him in surprise. He rolled his eyes at how shocked she seemed, feeling slightly offended.

"Well you said we should hurry up so I spent all last night finding you matches-"

"Thank you Natsu!" She squealed in excitement, attacking him with a heartfelt hug. He jumped from the slight scare, staring down at her like a deer in the headlights, not used to so much affection.

"Y-Yeah don't mention it..." He said weakly, patting her head awkwardly. She pulled back, her face glowing with new found determination.

"I seriously love you!" She cheered, picking up a few papers to examine the faces of the males on them.

"Oh yes-no-wow he's hot!" She muttered, sifting through the images. Natsu stared at her weirdly, wondering if all girls did this.

"Calm down Lucy, I have the main list here." He said, waving said list in his hands. Lucy turned around to look at him, her eyes shaping into creepy stars.

"Lemme see!" She cried, snatching the paper out of his hands. He scowled at her fast movement, looking over her shoulders as she hungrily stared at the men, her eyebrows pulled together in thought.

"huh...huhh...huhh..."

Lucy felt her eye twitch as her ear felt warmer from Natsu's breath as he literally breathed down her neck.

"Could you not breath so...much?" She asked in annoyance, taking a step away from him as she rubbed her neck uncomfortably, trying to dissolve the goosebumps that had risen.

"Oh sorry." He mumbled, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. She ignored him, going back to the list.

"This guy is really good looking...but I like this one's hair! And oh look-this guy's traits are perfect!" Lucy giggled to herself while she observed the man's profile closer.

"He's kind...a high ranked man in the military...it says here that he's devoted to whomever he's with and will go to certain lengths to prove it...I like him already!" Lucy looked back at Natsu eagerly.

Natsu couldn't help but smile at how happy she looked, her face aglow and her smile shining. It made him burst with his own ecstasy, seeing his close friend so excited and lively for once, not sulking about a due date or how she'll be forever alone.

"Dan Straight, let's try him!" Lucy reasoned, noticing the man's name on the top of the page. Natsu snapped back into real life, scoffing and snatching the paper back, eying Dan closely.
