The letters were mailed on Friday , Juilliard , the audition was two months ago yet I can still feel it in my fingers

"Now this is painful to watch look who knows what time the mail will come today." Dad said I was standing by the door waiting for my letter I'm very anxious Bout it "come on you got to come with us." Dad said

"Come on baby pretty soon you'll be off to college no matter where you go how many snow days will we have with each other." Mom said

"Are you really playing the guilt card." I asked her

"We'll let you pick the music." She said to me I smiled

"And bribery."

"Girl guilt and bribery are the glues that held parents and teenagers together don't break tradition." Mom said she is really on a roll

"Fine." I told her

"Boo yah." She screamed

"Mom no one says boo yah anymore." I said laughing

We got in the car going who knows where the music blasted

'Panda panda panda panda yah I get BROADS in Atlanta.'

"Hey I thought I get to choose the music." I said to mom and dad

"Yep she is right teddy fire up the jams sister let's here something old school." Mom said to me honestly it made me laugh

"How about I kick up the tunes of our favorite Australian melody maker Franz Schubert?" I asked

"Not that old school." Mom said then teddy started shouting

"Iggy pop Iggy pop!!"

"Teddy you can listen to Iggy on your iPod but nothing gangster you understand." Dad said

"Yes sir." Teddy said

"Well I choose Ludwig van Beethoven." I said

"Surprise." Dad said

I have always wondered if my parents were disappointed that I didn't turn out like them I tried to me and mom went to all dads shows the band was called Drifting Away they were what you might say big in our town

But one in second grade I saw the cello and just wanted to play it so my mom and dad got be a teacher and I rehearsed day and night my mom and dad hated that

flashback•

"I love her I do but I'm about ready to stab my eyeballs out." Mom sighed "this is why I never could procreate."

"Amen sister." Dad said

But there was always this light feeling in my chest I got while playing it I never got tired
