We walked quietly beside each other until I broke the silence realizing that for all I knew, Andrew could be a murderer and I would just be leading him to where my grandmother lived. Quickly I came up with a plan in my head and started to use it.

"So, what kind of things are you interested in?" I ask with curiosity.

"You will probably not believe me, but I want to be a journalist or just a simple writer," Andrew said as he looked down to the ground and scratched the back of his neck. "What about you?"

"I don't know," I said with a shrug. "I just want to graduate and make sure that my grandmother stays healthy for as long as she wants."

"Oh," Andrew said. I could see the tree where there used to be a swing on that I would swing on when I was younger.

"You know what?" I say and hold my stomach as if it was in pain. "I don't feel good."

"Woah, on a scale of a kid with a sugar rush to about to puke up all your guts, how sick do you feel?" Andrew asked as he started to rub my back and made me bend over towards the grass behind a tree in case I threw up.

"Like I about to throw up every organ in my body," I say as I make a gagging sound making it look believable.

"Okay, let me check if you have a fever," Andrew said and placed the palm of his hand on my forehead.

Andrew stared right into my eyes and I stared back. His soft gray and green eyes staring back at my dark brown ones. I felt as his hand slid down to my cheek and he cupped it.

His hand was soft and he was holding my cheek as if at any moment I would shatter into pieces from the smallest touch. I could feel his thumb rub gently on my cheek as I felt myself move closer to his hand. I felt so comfortable and safe around him, and I didn't know why. I was scared but at the same time was not at why I felt this way around him. I never felt this way about someone I just meet, or with anyone ever. The fear of me finding out what this feeling was made me do what I did next.

I pulled back and leaned against the tree as I held my head down to look to the side. I heard Andrew clear his throat and he started to talk to me as he took a step back.

"You feel warm, so I think you will be okay," Andrew said I looked up at him and he scratched the back of his neck and I could see that his cheeks had a pinch of pink in them.

"Oh okay," I said and cleared my throat.

"Hey, what's this?" I say and look at the tree as if there is something to look at.

"What is it?" Andrew said as he walked up beside me and laid one of his hands on my back.

His hand... So soft and gentle... No.

"I'm sorry," I say and put my hands around his head and brought his forehead down to my knee. I quickly caught Andrew's unconscious body and made him sit up against the tree. I hid him behind the tree from anyone seeing him. "Sorry Andrew."

I say and was about to walk away from him but something held me back. I bent down in front of Andrew's face and let my lips press to his forehead. In a shock of what I just did, I start to run the remaining of the way to my grandmother's house.

I could see my grandmother's house from now and ran faster until I was now near the path that leads to the front door. Except there was something different about the front door.

The door looked as if someone tried to get in and when I tried the door knob, the front door was unlocked.

My grandmother never left any of the doors or windows open...

"Grandmother?"
