He wanted to help Dan but Dan didn't want to help himself.
Phil found Dan attractive, I mean, anyone would find Dan Howell good looking but Phil looked behind his appearance. He saw a broken boy who just wanted to be let out. He saw light in his brown eyes.

                          Phil knew what to do.
