Thinking about Death

I bet its cold and dark
Somewhere far apart
From where we are
Or is it?
What if death just isn't what we envisioned ?
What if the image isn't as wonderful and vivid?
Another universe where there are no feelings such as depression or agression
That's what they said it would be
A place where there is no pain to stain your lifeless body.
I'd hate to be imprisoned for eternity If I didn't die happily.
If I wasted away and no one even remembered my name.
I'd at least like to think that the other side would be a better place
Where all my mistakes are erased
They say the best way to escape these thoughts that plague my brain is to have faith
So that when that day comes
I'll be ready to embrace and take my place
Next to the one who creates
Even if this isn't what awaits
I'll make sure to have better days
So my time on this earth won't go to waste
