Butterfly Effect

I lost you,
Never thought I would,
I had you,
At my fingertips, yet you recede from my view,
I need you,
For me to love you endlessly like a fool,

Who would have known,
A rip in the galaxy that could not be sewn,
Now I'm here all alone,
Your smile that's real is all I yearn,
The picture of our future together are burnt,
Left only the emptiness for me to learn,

What is there to learn of your demise?
That your life is not worth 100 lives?
The second chances that fate gives us are all lies,
Saving you is something that I can only try,

Your demise is a butterfly effect,
Death could never be eluded no matter here or there,
The choice to see you fall when you are scared,
To let you slip away not knowing that I cared.
