Expectations

She's a little perfect,
Don't you think so too?
Blue mesmerising beautiful eyes,
A girl that seems like she doesn't tell lies,
One to wear white pretty dresses,
Her hair's not a mess,
But inside she is,

It seems like a happy family,
With little concerns and worries,
Their eyes are wide awake,
And yet they never saw,
The wall I built,
And a mannequin,
Sitting on the table among them,

Those beautiful eyes,
A facade filled with cries,
A smile as sweet as roses,
A head filled with petty disasters,
No one had known,
Even in a crowded room that inside,
The heart felt vacant,

Everyone's jealous,
Of the mannequin I displayed,
I knew you'd eventually do,
Find out with that rotten stench,
Are you sure I'm not letting you down?
The girl you want,
She's everything I'm not.
