~Hunters Mom had just walked in the door from a day of work~
"Hi Mom!" Said Hunter. "Hi sweetie..." she hesitated. "What's wrong, mom?" She asked. Her mom replied, "You see, I got a promotion today!" "That's great!" Hunter replied to her and gave her a big hug. "Except there's some bad news..." she said quietly. "What is it, mom?" "With my promotion, I won't be able to be here for your birthday... so I decided to celebrate it this Saturday! I'm going out tomorrow after school to get tickets to the theatre!" She responded. "Really? You would do that for me?" "I promise, if it's the last thing I do!"
That was the last thing she did.
"I wonder when mommy will be home.." she says then sighs. Then there was a knock at the door. "Mom? Is that you?" She says and opens the door. A police officer held up two tickets to the theatre. "I'm sorry kid." He says. "Where's my mom?" She says and a tear runs down her face. "She's gone.. it was terrible car accident.." he replies with a look of sorrow in his eyes. "Wha- she can't be! She promised we'd go to the theatre! Together!" She screams and falls onto her knees crying. The police led her to the hospital and in a few days was her funeral. Hunter moved into her Aunt and Uncles house a few days later.
