Riley's POV:

After the party, Steve and I decided to stay longer with the team plus Rhodey and Helen. I sat down in between Nat and Steve.

"I just noticed something," said Clint looking at Steve and I.

Everyone's eyes fell on us mostly me. Crap.

"Nice ring," Nat teased.

Knew it.

"You weren't wearing that earlier," said Stark.

"When did you pop the question?" Bruce asked Steve.

"Not long ago," Said Steve scratching the back of his neck.

"And she actually said yes?" Stark asked surprised.

"I don't see why not," I said.

"I sense that Tony is just jealous," said Thor.

Stark rolled his eyes.

"I'm never jealous."

Now that is bullshit.

"Hey Thor, has any human ever lifted your hammer before?" I asked, changing the subject.

Thor shook his head.

"No one is worthy enough," Thor shrugged.

"But it's a trick," said Stark.

"No, no, it's much more than that."

"Whosoever be he worthy shall have the power." Clint imitated Thor with his deep voice.

"Whatever, man! It's a trick."

"Please be my guest," said Thor.

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"This is gonna be beautiful. Clint, you've had a tough week. We won't hold it against you if you can't get it up." said Stark.

Clint got up and walked over to the hammer that was placed on the table.

"You know I've seen this before, right?" said Clint.

He gripped on the handle with one hand and tried to lift it but it didn't even move one bit. Clint chuckled and gave up.

"I still don't know how you do it," he said sitting back down on his seat.

"Smell the silent judgement," teased Stark.

"Please Stark, by all means," Clint gestured for him to try it.

He plopped back down beside Hill. Tony got up.

"Okay. Never one to shrink from an honest challenge."

"Right so if I lift is, I then rule Asgard?" Stark questioned Thor.

"Yes of course," Thor said chuckling.

He held tightly on the grip and tried lifting it but failed. He sighed.

"I'll be right back."

Stark left and came back with one of his thrusters. He tried again but still failed. Stark dragged Rhodey to it and they both tried lifting the hammer with their thrusters. I bit my lip trying to prevent myself from laughing.

"Are you even pulling?" Rhodey asked Stark as they tried harder.

"Are you on my team?" Asked Stark.

"Just represent. Pull."

I just covered my mouth, trying not to laugh my ass. They finally gave up and they were panting. I snickered. It was Bruce's turn.

"Arghh!!" He roared pretending to turn into a hulk.

I giggled. It was Steve's turn. I pat his back.

"Come on Cap."

Steve rolled up his sleeves even further. He gripped on the handle with both his hands. He pulled. I saw the hammer move just a tad bit. Thor's face was priceless. Steve gave up.

"Nothing," Thor said in relief.

Steve chuckled and sat back down beside me.

"Girls?" Stark gestured for us to try.

"No, no. That's not a question we need answered," said Nat.

I nod in agreement. There is no way we'll be able to lift that thing up.

"All deference to the Man who wouldn't be King, but it's rigged." said Stark.

"You bet your ass." said Clint.

"Steve, he said a bad language word." said Hill.

I laughed.

"Did you tell everyone about that?" Steve asked Stark.

"I mean I heard it too babe," I told him.

He shook his head as he chuckled.

"The handle's imprinted, right? Like a security code. 'Whosoever is carrying Thor's fingerprints' is, I think, the literal translation." said Tony.

"Yes. It's a very, very interesting theory." said Thor getting up.

"I have a simpler one. You're all not worthy." he said tossing his hammer up and catching it with ease.

"Come on!" We all laughed.

We were interrupted by a loud screech. I covered my ears. I stood up and I saw one of Tony's wrecked robots. I furrowed my eyebrows as I dropped my hand back down to my side.

"Worthy. No. How could you be worthy? You're all killers." said the robot.

"Stark," I said looking at Tony.

I gave him the 'do something' look.

"Jarvis."

There was no answer. That's a first.

"I'm sorry, I was asleep. Or I was a-dream." said the robot.

His voice was deep.

"Reboot Legionnaire OS. We got a buggy suit." mumbled Tony.

"There was this terrible noise. And I was tangled in... In... Strings." continued the robot, stumbling a bit as he gestured at the strings on him.

"I had to kill the other guy. He was a good guy." he added.

My eyes widened.

"You killed someone?" asked Steve.

"Wouldn't have been my first call. But, down in the real world, we're faced with ugly choices."

"Who sent you?" questioned Thor.

"I see a suit of armor around the world." Tony voice played.

I glared at Tony. I knew it.

"Ultron," said Bruce.

"In the flesh. Or, no, not yet. Not this chrysalis. But I'm ready. I'm on mission."

"What mission?" I asked clenching my fist.

"Peace in our time."

With that, robots emerged from the wall. I quickly dodged all that was headed towards me. I summoned my sword in my hand. But before it got to my hand, I was blasted from one of the robots. I flew to the wall.

I groaned as I got up. My sword flew into my hand. I threw my sword at the robot that attacked me and it pierced right through his arc reactor. I saw Clint passed Steve his shield and Steve threw it at one of the robots, breaking it in half. All the commotion stopped.

"I'm sorry, I know you mean well. You just didn't think it through. You want to protect the world but you don't want it to change. How is humanity saved if it's not allowed to... evolve? With these? These puppets." Ultron crushed one of the dead robot's head.

"There's only one path to peace. The Avengers' extinction." Thor threw his hammer at Ulton breaking him into pieces.

I walked up to Tony.

"I told you so." I told him.
