Chapter 148: Secret Path

Xuelian and I awoke early that day, we ate eating breakfast and prepared to the head over to the meeting.

Two days prior to the meeting we were required to contact a player named Al-Maite to register. With the number of players attending this event was significant enough that we had to be broken into small groups.

We had stopped by Cyrus' shop to buy some items but unsurprisingly it was closed. After we had finished with all our we headed for the southern gate of the town.

Again, unsurprisingly there was a lot of players headed in the same direction. Passing through the town gate I felt that familiar feeling of walking into a Sauna or at the very least a room full of stagnant air.

We moved forward in the forest for a few minutes before stopping to take out the pamphlet. Following the directions, we found a tree to the right of the path, it's shape was odd just odd enough to where if you weren't paying attention you would miss it. Striking the tree, it vanished revealing a new path.

"So, I guess this is the shortcut," Xuelian spoke aloud.

"Yeah, I guess so."
