Outside the courthouse...
"Barba wait I-I need to talk to you about something!" Rita Calhoun said frantically running after Rafael Barba like a cheetah chasing after a gazelle.

"Ms.Calhoun if you think I have changed my mind about the plea deal you have have another thing coming."  Rafael Barba said with a smirk on his face, as he watches the red haired defense attorney attempt to catch her breath.

"It's not about the p-p-plea deal, I was wondering if you wanted to go out for drinks sometime?" Rita says with a smile trying her very hardest to show that she needs a "drinking buddy"

"Okay Ms.Calhoun I know a bar around here, and call me Rafael." He said with a half smile on his face.

"Well then, you can call me Rita."She said with a growing smile on her face.

In the bar...
"So what would you two like tonight?" Said the tall and brawny bartender

"I would like tequila, on the rocks please." Said Rita with absolute certainty

"And I will have a Cabernet sauvignon Merlot." Said Rafael with his eyes focused on Rita

"Coming right up." Said the bartender already grabbing a wine glass

"So how long do you that this trial is going to go on for?" Asked Rafael attempting to break the awkward silence between them

" Well that depends on how many witnesses there are, how long it takes for the jury to comeback, and all of the other small factors in the case, so for all we know it could be days, weeks, months one time I had a case that took three years and seventeen days." Rita said as the bartender sat their beverages on the table

"Okay well I thi- did you just say you were handling the same case for a little over three years?!" Rafael said with a great amount of shock in his voice

"Oh yeah, that was the longest I have ever committed to something, well I mean other than, never mind." Rita said as she stopped in her noticing that she was about to say something she would ultimately regret

"Other than what?!" Rafael asked intrigued the story was so close to starting

"That's a different story for a different time." Rita said with a smirk on her face, as she drank the of her tequila
