Olivia noticed that she was shaking and flinched when Olivia put her hand next her bedside

"What about before that, did you notice anybody following, someone who was acting suspiciously " Liv said as her brown eyes glossed over

"No one, not even a glance nothing was out of the ordinary, everything was going great until... You know " Tina as tears trickled down her face

*knock knock

"Liv can I talk to you for a minute " Barba said quietly trying not to startle Tina

"Rafael what are you doing here? " Tina said gently

"Dammit" Rafael said under his breath ... "Tina I am so sorry what happened to you, but I have to talk to Olivia, right now!" He said with a evident sense of concern in his voice

"I take it that you know her" Olivia said cocking one eyebrow "care to explain"

"We used to work together, she's a paralegal, she used to be a good friend of mine. " Rafael said as he peered through the window with a look of sorrow spreading throughout his face

"So what happened" Olivia said in a low pitch so that no one would here her

"Something happened one day with someone in the office and she just up and quit" Barba said with a soupçon of unsureness in his voice. His body language had shifted to a state of unrest

"How did you get that bruise" Olivia with a type of detective curiosity

Flashback

"Where is she, where the hell is she!" said an anger unidentified man in Rafael's m office. He grabbed Barba by the collar."Rita, Rita, Rita goddamn Calhoun where is she, Where the hell is she "

"I don't know who that is " Rafael said lying straight through his pearly whites

"Lying is not your schtick bro, it sure as hell is a, wonder how you became a lawyer" said "The Man", "Now one last time where the hell is Rita" He said slowly and meticulously

"I don't know" said Rafael internally shaking in his Tom Ford full length suit.

With that Rafael became Marcos Maidana to "Tha Man's" Floyd Mayweather. He was slung across the room like an old raggedy Ann doll. His face was bruised and three of his ribs were cracked.

Out of flashback
"Barba, Barba you okay" Olivia said jolting him back to reality

"Yeah, why"

"You didn't answer my question, so how did you get that bruise" Olivia said concerned but sternly

"Nothing happened, I hit my head" Barba quoth lying through his pearly white

"Rafael I have been doing this along time now. And I know better than anyone that is complete bull, now tell me what happened to you" Olivia said smugly but in great concern

"It was just a little fight, no big deal" He said shrugging the situation off

At the station...

"Tina I'm glad to see you again, there's a slight problem in the statement you gave us" Olivia spoke with much deference to her

"What's the problem, I told you everything" Tina said as her voice cracked and quivered

"Why didn't you tell us about your ex husband..."  Olivia was cut off by Tina

"He an overall nice guy, he's cheap as hell and terrible at commitment but gentlemen are a dying breed." She said defending him

"Tina, he did seven years in Attica for aggravated assault and physical assault on an 18 year old, he is not a "nice guy"," Olivia said as she suggested the unimaginably imagined

"Lieutenant he would never.... hurt... me...at least not like this"
