That next day, Jun came to my house early again, seeing me already up as well. "Well that's a rare sight." He looks at me up and down. "I woke up by the smell of food." I explained. 😋
"That's not surprising."🤔 "Come with me." He says grabbing my arm. "Wha?! But I'm eating!" I protest. "It can wait. Mrs. Yuma, I'll be borrowing Kat." He says and drags me away. I can hear Mom giggling and saying. "Sure!"
"Ugh! I hate you! Taking me away from my food!!" I scowled at him.
Jun took me to his backyard house and there, I saw a cute little brown puppy. My eyes widened and I instantly squeal. "Oh my gosh!" And sat down petting the puppy in my arms. "Who got this? It's so cute!"
"I did. For you. It's a boy." His answer was curt but I still look at him surprised and happy. "Really?! Thank you so much!! Gosh I love you!"

"You just said that you hated me, and now you're saying that you love me? Geez." 🙄 He rolls his eyes. I looked back at the puppy, smiling. "Did you give him a name yet?"
"Well, it's your puppy, so why not you?"
"Junnie! His name is Junnie!" I exclaim. "That was quick, why not Junk?" I turn my head to him. 😑 "That's a rude name, only a name for someone like you. Besides, think of it this way, Jun and Katsumi put together is Junnie!" I explain then he nods understandingly. "You're smarter than you look." He ruffles my hair. "I've been smart." 😏 "Junnie's so cute!" I turn to Junnie and he barks pleasingly. "See that? Junnie likes being called cute."
"Whatever." I see him shrug from the corner of my eye.

When I got back with Junnie, Mom and Eri squeal at how cute Junnie was. They asked me how I got him and I explained everything to them. "Aww, I get it, Junnie stands for Jun and Katsumi!" Eri smirks. I instantly hit her with the crouch cushion, denying it even though it was actually true. "It's nothing like that! We're just friends."
"Ah, geez, the friend zone story. In mangas, most stories turn out too late for the main characters once they confess their feelings. If Jun won't do it then you do it. And do it before it's too late, I hate reading mangas like those." 😒 Eri tells me. "We're not in a manga book, besides, I don't even have feelings for Jun." I denied, but Eri wasn't buying it, neither was Mom. "You're not being true to you feelings~ Besides, what's the worst to come? Me and Mom already accepts your relationship anyways." I look at Mom and she gave a a shrug and a nod. "Geez, you guys are so nosy." I said getting up with Junnie and walking to my bedroom.
But Eri was right, I actually do have feelings for Jun, and if I want to confess, I shouldn't wait. Who knows how long Jun will be gone, he may not even be back, and I'll be totally too late... Junnie suddenly whimpers, as if he was concerned by my sad face. I quickly turned my frown upside down. "Don't worry Junnie, I'm fine." And he starts barking happily again.
