Pete's pov:
I found Madaleine laying on the bathroom floor with a pill bottle in her hand and she was almost unconscious. We rushed her to the hospital they had to pump her stomach from all the pills that she had taken. I began to ask myself why would she do this to herself I mean like her parents did write her own death but why would it have to come to this? I guess she could only answer that question for me. She was put back in a room the doctor asked,

"Who are Madaleine's parents or people that are taking care of her?"

We all stood up and said," we are the people taking care of her."

"Okay nice to meet you all, and do you guys know by chance why Madaleine would do this to herself? Does she have depression or some sort of mental illness?"

I didn't know any of this stuff about her so we decided to just tell him some of truth.

"We don't know to much about her because her parents left her about 4 years ago and we just recently started taking care of her and we don't know any medical history of her's in sorry."

"Okay that's all good, well we will let you know what's going on with Madaleine then since you are now her care givers. So while we were doing a check up on her we found that she has Scoliosis which is a curvature of the spine and she will need to have surgery on that right away because her curve is at an 82 degree and that is really curved if you would like to look at her x-rays I have them here in the hallway. And we would also like to have her got through a therapy session just to make sure she is all right mentally. If that's okay with you guys?"

"Yes that is fine with us we want to make sure she is okay."

"Alright well we will see you all in the morning she should be up by then."

" alright bye."

The doctor then left, I couldn't take that she had a back problem that was probably causing her pain and she might be suffering mentally. I began to cry. I didn't want her to be hurt. I felt like this was my fault.

"Pete it's okay, she is going to be okay, I'm pretty sure she was just upset and didn't know what to do. There is nothing you can do just let the doctors do there job and everything will be okay." Patrick said.

I just sat there and nodded I just kept getting this bad feeling like something was going to be good and I wasn't sure what it was.

I heard someone coming down the hallway I woke up and I looked, but I did feel someone behind me I turned around it was Brendon.

"Well well if it isn't the vampire that kills other vampires. What do I have pleasure of seeing you tonight?" Brendon said.

"Brendon what are you doing here?"

"Oh I'm just here to collect what i have been owed and wanting for awhile now."

"Madaleine?!?"

"Yes now hand her over to me."

"No she is hurt Brendon she needs to stay here and I won't let you take her away from me."

"That's why I need to take care of her and make her my human or vampire slave haven't decided what I want yet, but it will happen no matter what even if I have to kill everyone in the world to get to her. I will do that to get my payment."

"I won't let you get her Brendon!"

"We'll see about that..."

He then left I ran into Madaleine's room and she was still there laying asleep everything was fine. I was relieved, but the thought of Brendon taking Madaleine made me mad I wasn't going to let him just take away her life not like her parents did. I then sat there next to Madaleine holding her hand and I eventually fell asleep and woke up to the sound of doctors rushing in and giving her pain killers and putting IV's in her to take away the pain. She had woken up and they gave her anxiety medication to calm her down while they prep her for back surgery. I kissed her on the forehead goodbye while they took her to the operation room. I waited there patiently while she was in surgery waiting for her to come back out and get to see her face again...
