A drabble for a buddy

I thought you would like the picture above, especially with baby Siegbert because it is very niiiiicceeee. XD

But onto more important matters, happy belated birthday bbub14 !

Sorry it took me awhile to type this drabble for you. It's not birthday-related or anything, -and I'm sorry if you wanted it to be- but hey, I wrote this just for you!

And I really hope you enjoy it!! :3

It has been two long weeks since you set off on your own mission by King Garon to help eliminate Hoshidan forces that were taking over a vital safe house near Bottomless Canyon. And without your bright presence residing in Castle Krakenburg, the days seemed long and tedious as time passed by each day. Your siblings missed you so dearly that they were getting so excited and anxious to see you once you returned back safely. Everyday, they hoped and prayed for your safe journey back, and thankfully you returned back unharmed.

Of course, Elise was the first one who was waiting by the entrance of the castle. She practically squealed with joy and hugged you so tightly that you thought you would of died from being squeezed so hard by her.

Camilla also hugged you, -but not as tightly as little Elise did- She gently combed your hair with her hand and started thanking the Gods above for your safe return, then she proceeded to hug you for a very long time.

Leo, -on the other hand- gave you a quick hug and asked various questions about how the mission went, how you were, and unknowingly admitted that he was worried about you, since Camilla and Elise started teasing him because he kept asking questions and more questions that eventually revealed his hidden concern towards you.

And Xander, -the man that you loved with all your heart- was just as worried as Leo was. He stayed up all night and day, impatiently waiting for your arrival for two whole weeks. He was just glad that you returned home with no serious injuries or bad news and was greatly relieved because of that.

The only person who was sort of glad you made it back was King Garon. This grouchy old man was about to send you out on another mission, but he decided you should have a break for awhile, which was very unusual of him.

At the end of the day when everybody was asleep, you and Xander secretly went out onto the biggest patio in the kingdom and spent some quality alone time with each other. Unbelievablely and kind of ironically, the stars emerged from the dark clouds looming above and were shining brighter than ever. You and Xander drank some wine and talked for about an hour before you both headed back to his room for the rest of the morning, where you both dressed each other up in your own nightgowns.

You absolutely loved Xander's firm, yet gentle warm touch around your waist and the soft golden locks of his hair brushing against your forehead as your body was facing towards his under the bedsheets. The nice, orange color and the sweet aroma of the candles resting upon the dressers lighten up his somewhat nicely organized room and made you see that beautiful color of his eyes. It also lit up his gentle gaze, -which was staring directly into your orbs- made you feel at ease and at comfort, a very difficult emotion to feel during the dire times of war.

Sometimes you felt like Xander was the only one who gave you these warm feelings and in reality, he was. No one even came close to make you feel like this; warm, relaxed and happy all at the same time. Your boyfriend -who was going to become your husband soon- was truly a handsome, brave and strong man. In your mind, no one else in your eyes was as great as he was. He was perfect, smart, courteous and dedicated his life just for you because he loved you so much. Unfortunately, you both were in a secret relationship for now, it wasn't the right time to tell anyone just yet.

But when that specfic time came weeks later, it would change both yours and his lives' forever.

AHHHHHHHHHHH-

I really enjoyed writing this one because it's filled with fluff and Xander is my favorite character in FE14, right next to Shigure, Leo and Azura.

And I have a short headcanon to share here; On very rare occasions, the dark, stormy clouds just above Castle Krakenburg disappear without a trace late at nighttime. The white stars emerge from their hidden chambers and gleam brightly just above the gloomy castle for an hour or two before they slowly fade away when the clouds are beginning to form once again. Returning the castle to its original ominous state.

...Hm, I like that headcanon. I might submit it somewhere...
