"I'm totally a Dean guy,"
"I ship Dean with Cas too much to be a Dean guy,"
"True, but I ship Sam with Gabriel, so,"
Cam scoffs. "Gabriel's dead."
Ash waves his hand.
"Everyone on this show's been dead a few times before, its like fuckin' initiation for them."
Cameron giggles at this and leans back on his bed, right back onto Ash's arm. Realizing, he shoots up and apologizes.
Ash raises an eyebrow and gently shoves him back so Cam's resting on his tanned arm again.
"Calm." Ash mutters, before turning back to the TV and popping a gummy bear in his mouth. Cam blushes and looks back, trying to watch Supernatural, but too distracted by Ash's arm around him and how close he was to get into it.
"WHAT THE SHIT?!" Cameron screams when Castiel lands a punch to Dean's face, then another.
Ash looks likes he's either going to burst into tears or laughter, and he pulls Cam closer.
"...we need you...I need you," Dean says, and Cas stops, looking into Dean's eyes. Cameron lets out a shriek and grabs his phone in one hand and Ash's shirt in the other.
Cas drops the blade, and Ash and Cam jump up on the bed and grab each other in a hug.
"Our babies!"
"Oh, the sweet gayness!"
The door opens slowly and Cam and Ash stop jumping.
Cam's mom stands in the doorway.
"What did I just walk in on?" she asks, but the amusement is clear in her blue/grey eyes.
Cam pulls away from Ash long enough to point frantically at the paused TV show and his mom's eyes widen.
"Oh," she says, before looking back to the boys with a smile. "Cam, fill me in later. I came to tell you I had to run to the store for groceries. Ash, you're welcome to stay for dinner if you'd like?"
Ash looked at Cam, then to Cam's mom and blushed, nodding quickly. Cam grinned internally.
You just bluuuushhhed.
Shut up.
Cam's mom smiled again and left, closing the door behind her.
After his mom left, Cam tugged on his flannel he wore to school.
"D'you mind if I change?" He asks, and Ash shakes his head, jerking his thumb to his backpack.
"I was gonna ask the same thing,"
Cam grins and moves to his closet while Ash heads to the bathroom with his bag.
Cam is still looking for some comfortable clothes when Ash comes back. He leafs through his clothes, letting out a gasp when he's pushed out of the way.
Ash stands in front of his closet, and pushes back clothes. He yanks a pale pink T-shirt off the hanger and tosses it as Cam. Cam blushes and holds it in his hands carefully.
After a second, Ash freezes, and Cam frowns.
"...Cam?" Ash asks, and turns around.
Cameron's eyes widen and he opens and closes his mouth, trying to think of something smart to say
It was a white pleated skirt, and it came about two inches above the knee on Cam. Charlotte had given it to him a couple months ago, but he never wore it.
Ash grins widely and throws it at him.
"A-Ash, I-"
"Just try it on."
Cam sighs and nods, heading for the bathroom.
He closes the bathroom door behind him, turning to look at himself in the mirror. Slowly, with a frown, Cam unbuttons off his flannel and lets it slip off his pale shoulders and to the floor. He pulls off his socks and his jeans, left in nothing but his grey boxer briefs.
With a sigh, Cam pushes his brown hair out of his face and looks at the skirt and T-shirt.
He pulls on the shirt first, the soft material caressing his skin. His heart thuds as he stares at the skirt, chewing on his bottom lip silently.
Fuck it, he thinks.
Cam pulls the skirt on, adjusting his T-shirt and letting out a breath as he looks at himself in the mirror. He didn't look bad.
A smile lit up his face, and now with a bit more confidence, he exits the bathroom.
When Cameron patters into his room, Ash turns around and stares.
"Wow," he utters, biting his bottom lip. Cam watches as he clenches his fists again.
He does that a lot, Cam realizes.
"You look..." Ash stops himself, running a hand over his face and smiling. "Good,"
Cam grins, doing a little twirl.
While Cam's checking his hair in the mirror seconds later, Ash's hands reach above him and a white flower crown settles on his brown locks.
Cam's eyes light up and he spins around to smile toothily at Ash.
Ash's eyes flicker from Cam's eyes to his smile and he stops breathing.
"Oh," he whispers.
"Oh?" Cam asks.
Ash shakes his head, backing up a step. For some reason, disappointment grasps at Cam's heart and he scratches at his jaw.
Ash looks up and slaps on a smile.
"So. Food. Kitchen?"
Cam grins again and nods, grabbing Ash's wrist and dragging him downstairs to the kitchen.
