~MEANWHILE, IN THE HOSPITAL~
I nearly laughed. "They knocked her out again." The faceless nurse next to me didn't make a sound. The stupid brainwashed fools didn't have a sense of humor, only a sense of instinct. She was busy cleaning the needles we were using for the next patient. I couldn't figure out what her animal DNA substances were. She was overly skittish, squirrel if I had to guess, but also very obedient. Wolf or dog. I decided to call her Squog. Why are they faceless? You might ask. Well, when you combine different DNA's together, sometimes the mixture doesn't come out pretty. It's a long process, but worth it to be able to look at them without a human/gorilla/snake looking back at you. Sometimes I was temped to take some good ol' Sharpie markers and just draw faces on them. And who says I couldn't? No one! Because I'm in charge, so I can do what I want. My attention was back on the screen. "Funny little things, aren't they." I said, then realized I might as well had been talking to a wall. The woman was so concentrated on cleaning she didn't even look up. "Ugh." I said and slapped my notebook on the table. Standing up, I pushed away and nodded at one of the guards to take the position at watching the camera. They will never make it. I said to myself. I walked into a small room. A nine year old girl was laying, strapped down to a table. "Who are you?" She said between sniffs. I didn't say anything, and just smiled. My smile got deeper as the girl on the table had the same reaction to me as—"Amber", for that was what they called her now— when she first saw me. A look of hatred and disgust.
