My Precious One

3 0 1

Precious one, my heart goes wondering
With each step of your tender feet
The sun rises, the moon shines
All the clouds keep coming and going
But there is still darkness inside of me...

Precious one, you are my first fruit
The spring and the autumn of my life
But I feel myself in a desert without you
My vagabond heart sometimes becomes
So much colder and stiff than ice...

Precious one, where is it now your paradise?
What does it lay ahead in your narrow path?
Are you taking the road spacious and wide
As we learned in a previous class?...

I see a gentle flower, a soft butterfly
And a little dog playful jumping
As I reach for your hand by my side
Until my last breath I will be waiting
Always for you, my precious one.
