"Maybe I'm just a kid in love, if this is what it's like growing up, then I don't want to ever grow up."
SEASON 1
Finns hands were over your eyes as he lead you down into the woods from outside camp, "If I trip I'm blaming you." You giggle as you stumble your way around, falling into him on numerous occasions.
"I've got you, don't worry." He whispered into your ear, you shuddered as his hair brushed against your neck.
"Stop it! You're doing it on purpose now." You hit him lightly on the arm with your free hand, it was bare as he had given you his jacket to wear, even though it wasn't a cold day at all on the Ground.
"So what if I am," He responded in his low voice, the situation was so relaxed, you didn't feel awkward or nervous around him anymore like you did for the first day, now you were both together it felt like the most natural hung on Earth.
You were about to respond but then the ground changed under you, you stepped forward and it was as if you missed a step on the stairs. You gave off a gasp as you stumbled forward, bracing yourself for your inventible fall, instead it didn't come. You felt a strong force around your waist as Finns hands clamped over your arms and body, "That was close." He whispered with a chuckle.
You were stunned for words before a small laugh worked its way up your throat and came out mixed with a breath of relief. You opened your eyes and turned to look at him, his face practically touching yours, "My hero." You joked smiling as his mouth curved into one.
"Now close your eyes again." He told you, going serious as he does a lot of the time.
"Did you not see what just happened?" You respond with raised eyebrows, something that he found very sweet when it happens.
"I did, you shouldn't have." He smiled and ran a finger down your arm.
"Come on!" You say sarcastically, you did not want to go back to camp with an injury, you wanted to spend all your time out here with Finn.
"Five more minutes, that's all I'm asking for." He had a way of making you listen to what he said.
You nodded in defeat, "Okay fine, five minutes Collins, that's all you get," Yet you really can't help but smile, "No hands this time though." You closed your eyes and scrunched them to make your point.
"Fine." He gave your waist a little squeeze and you felt a small kiss on your cheek. It took you by surprise, he hadn't done anything like that before but before you could register exactly what happened you were both charging ahead with an unknown destination.
You got there in exactly 4 minutes and 16 seconds, "Okay, open your eyes." Finn let go of you and moved into your field of vision as you opened your eyes. It took your breath away, a field of butterflies all sitting on trees surrounded you as you saw them with the last shimmers of sunset.
"Wow." You couldn't think of anything else to say, you walked over to Finn and grabbed his hand looking all around you.
"You can say that again," He smiled and looked at you in the dying light, the way there were crinkles around the corner of your eyes and he way your smile seemed to glow in the light. Finn then lowered his voice and played with a strand of your hair, "This isn't even the best bit."
You creased your eyebrows in confusion, "Finn..?" You questioned him.
"Just wait." He placed a finger in the air and put his other hand around you, he was trying to get some of the warmth you had. Ten seconds passed in silence.
"I'm waiting." You joked watching as he looked all around you.
"Just a second -" Finn was cut short by a butterfly passing inches away from you both, this one was different though as the first signs of darkness came about; it was glowing a brilliant vibrant blue. You looked around and saw that all the others were changing too, the surroundings changing to mirror your mood; utter delight.
"Look at them." You said in a soft voice, not wanting to ruin the moment. You felt Finns grip give you a little squeeze that somehow made you feel secure.
"Told you it wasn't the best part." He smirked, Finn outstretched his hand and this time two butterflies timidly came and landed on him. You scooped one of them up and held it up do you could look at it more closely.
"It really is beautiful." The butterfly took flight but instead of going away, it proceeded to land among your hair.
"It likes you." Finn commented, he couldn't help but stare at the way you seemed to be at one with nature, serene.
"I guess it does." You reply wanting this moment to go one forever.
"It isn't the only one you know." Finn said as he gave you a kiss on the cheek.
