Brynn woke up to her alarm clock blaring Bad Blood and sunlight streaming into her eyes. Brynn groaned, but then remembered it was Friday, the last day of school for three months. Her last day as a Junior. Yay, She thought sarcastically, tomorrow I'm going to San Aqua.

The past week of school has been boring and irrelevant. Teachers not really interested in doing there jobs and students skipping school because, for some unfathomable reason, Archald Prep School does not take roll on the last week of school. Brynn had been floating between social groups like usual, inviting almost everyone in the school, except for the people who were currently on Brynn's bad side, to her end of school private pool party at her country club. Brynn had reserved the whole pool to her and there would be no adult supervision.

It was right after school and Brynn wasn't very excited. She usually was the life of the party, but lately Brynn had no motivation of doing so and just wanted to stay home and read. But sadly, to retain her social status, this was a must have party. Brynn also had a surprise for Jordyn at the end because she wouldn't be at her birthday party.

Realizing she had no time to stay in bed for a minute, Brynn got up and slumped into her shower. Putting on her coconut shampoo and conditioner, and shaving her legs which hasn't been shaved in ten days. Once she had gotten up, she brushed her teeth and hair, then made her way to her closet.

Brynn wanted to wear something exceptional, it being the last day of school and all. Nothing seemed right. Until she saw the perfect outfit. A black tie up crop top, with washed out high wasted jean shorts, black lace up wedges, and a loose fitting hipster sweater. It screamed summer and was casual but noticeable. Perfect.

Brynn slipped into the outfit and walked to her vanity, doing her makeup natural with a nude lip and perfect cat eye liner. Then she breezed out of this house, screaming a simple goodbye to her mother before letting the summer sun hit her face and the breeze whip through her hair.

She slipped into her car and drove off, to Starbucks she went.

School had been, like usual, boring and uneventful. She was currently sitting in her last class of the day, AP physics, and the class was counting down the time to school ending. Ten, nine, eight seven, six, five, four, three two, one!

Brynn had joined the counting when they reached three, and jumped up into the air like everyone else did when the teacher sighed, "Class dismissed." Brynn rushed out of the dreadful classroom to her locked and quickly collected all of her belongings before walking to Jordyn's locker, where she found the bleach blond girl flirting with some jock that looked like he could have been a professional wrestler if he wanted to. "... Yeah," she laughed out, "That was me." The boy let out a hearty laugh and said, "I knew I knew you from somewhere. Well I guess i'll see your around blondie." Jordyn laughed flirtatiously once again and turned to face Brynn.

Brynn clapped mockingly, "What a wonderful performance." she mocked. Jordyn flipped her hair to behind her shoulder and answered, "I live to serve." Brynn laughed and adjusted the straps of her backpack and giggled out, "You are definitely coming to my pool party right? I kind of need you there." Jordyn looked into her locker, reapplying her already layered on lipgloss, "Of course I am B, wouldn't miss it for the world. I have to go anyways, my parents are having a fundraiser at my house and need me out."

"Well it'll definitely be better than that." Brynn chuckled. Jordyn sighed and spoke, "I should get going, I need to look good for Ryan at your party." Brynn rolled her crystal blue eyes and sighed, "Of course you do, be there by 5:15." "Kay!" and with that, Jordyn strutted off down the hallway, leaving behind a sickly sweet fragrance of vanilla and sugar.

Technically, Brynn's party started at 5:30, but Jordyn had a serious issue of being late to things, so Brynn always told her an earlier time then reality, and Jordyn was only five or so minutes late.

It was only 2:45 and Brynn didn't have to be to her country club until 5:10 to set up, so she had some time to kill. Brynn decided to solve that by going to her favorite cafe, La Vida Mocha, and ordering her usual BLT on sourdough and a large iced tea. She sat in the booth by the window and read her book in peace.

Her peace was swiftly interrupted when a boy that she knew too well but would rather not know at all slid into her booth trying to hide his face, "Hey Brynnie, can I chill here a minute?"

Instead of answering his obviously rhetorical question she muttered through her teeth, "What the hell are you doing in New York?" the boy simply rolled his eyes and said, "I got myself in a spout of trouble back in Chicago and decided to come back to New York. You know, see how the big apple was doing." Following the boy's gaze to the glass door, Brynn saw a large man and a brown haired girl looking frantically around outside for something, or more likely someone.

"And let me guess, those people you ran into trouble with are right outside looking for you and you saw me in the door and decided to pull me into it?" The boy meekly nodded, still hiding his face, "I know i wasn't the greatest person to have around, but you know-" Brynn cut him off and quietly yelled so she would not upset the coffee shop, "Wasn't the best? No, you were the worst, you practically left me for dead back then. You knew what he was doing to us and you left! You left me and you left her!" Brynn saw the hurt flash in his eyes when she said this but didn't care.

"You know that's not why I left Brynn. I couldn't keep being responsible, I wasn't your parent for christ sake!" He yelled, making a number of people sitting at the tables look over to them. Brynn shot back, "You're right you weren't my parent, you were my god damn brother."

Well that definitely didn't go the way I planned it, but I like how it turned out and hope you like it too! Please comment and Vote!
