Yuri and I stared as the hologram image of us disappeared from the bed leaving nothing to show that the fact that we had even slept in our beds.
"Okay don't tell Taylor I said this, but that was so cool." Yuri said from her spot beside me against the door.
I grinned pulling away from the door. "I promise I want to reveal how impressed you are with your arch nemesis."
Yuri shot me a smirk as she walked over to her closet to remove her uniform. I did the same trying to decide whether todays a pants day or a pair of shorts day was. As I stared at my uniform, I chewed on my lip. I decided to go with shorts today and save my pants for the colder weather when it came.
"I'll be so glad when Headmistress Blake lifts her rule about the amount of bags we can bring on campus. My wardrobe needs a new change."
"Mine does too, especially since my main shipper is locked away in federal custody."
Yuri turned around. "Do you think the school knows about Alisa now?"
"I'm pretty sure they do. They're probably searching the campus store and her room on campus now to see if she left anything behind. Since I'm positive they're not going to let anyone into the campus store for a while, it looks like I'll be eating in the cafeteria from now on."
"Think of it this way, you'll now have more access to the salad bar to help you on your diet."
I shot Yuri a glare. "Yeah thanks for reminding me of that Yul."
Yuri smiled brightly at me. "No problem."
I gave Yuri dibs on the shower first as I plopped down on my bed. I checked my emails and replied to a few. At the sight of the email from my former fling Ryan, I decided not to read it and instead deleted it. Ryan was my past, Micah was my future. I didn't have to worry about breaking Ryan's heart because he was an insanely handsome rich guy, I'm pretty sure he had plenty of women to take my place.
Yuri came out the bathroom freshly dressed as steam followed behind her. I didn't go in just yet because I knew I would have to wait for the water to heat up. Unlike other schools, our water didn't take long to heat back up so I knew I would be in and out in so I could make it to class on time.
"Does it feel strange to you to be going back to school as if everything is normal?"
I stared up from my computer screen at Yuri who stood in front of the mirror fixing her hair. "I have to admit it does. But we have to keep it that way if we don't want to draw attention to ourselves."
Yuri sighed. "I know. I just missed being free from the confines of this school. The rush from that night is still with me. It's like my body is pumping for it to do more."
I laughed shutting down my computer. "Well tell it to calm down. We're going have to keep away for a while. At least until this heist thing dies down."
Yuri snorted. "Please. This thing will never die down."
I shrugged my shoulders knowing she was right. As long as the painting was still missing this thing would never die down, but it will lose the spotlight when the time came to start another heist.
Thinking the water was heated up enough, I grabbed my clothes that I had laid out and headed to the bathroom. When the water from the shower head hit me I released a sigh. I didn't even care anymore whether it was like the one I had back home or not. The fact of the matter was— I felt clean again. Or the least I would for a while. I don't think I would ever get over of the feeling of being in that sewer even if I took a shower when we got back to my house. I just hoped in the near future that we didn't have to deal with anymore underground sewers. The things we seen down there could make me diet in days.
