You don't have to necessarily follow with the people play the characters, it can be whoever you want to play them.
For those who might think Samantha's character is confusing, I also agree. But it will be explained further in the book. Meera's sister, Samantha is the same Samantha that Ajay is supposedly in "love" with. Sorry if it's not a great explanation.
