A/N: Long overdue sorry I was extremely busy with my college's summer program. Anyway, if you like Rucas angst check out my new story Moments Gone. It will break your heart.  There's a preview below after the ending of this story. I'll post the whole chapter to that story tomorrow.

Riley ran into the room she had previously been in, her breathing was loud and fast and she felt her heart climbing up her throat. She had never done something like that, but it felt right. Being with Charlie had never felt right. Not how it felt being with Lucas.

Riley turned as the door opened and Charlie stood by it, his face scarlet and his eyebrows raised up. He walked towards her, locking it behind him.

"What the hell was that?" His voice thundered through the room, making her tremble.

"I-I," She paused trying to recollect her thoughts. "I did what felt right, Charlie."

"You made me look like a fool!" He pinched the bridge of his nose. He was struggling to keep temper in check. "You left me on the damn aisle, Riley! Do you know how bad that looks like?"

"I don't care," She was surprised that her voice didn't quiver. "I don't care what the news says--what anybody says, because I did what felt right in my heart!" She glanced at the floor remembering how not too long ago she had been standing there with Lucas. "Lucas has my heart and it feels right to be with him. I love him. I'm sorry Cha-"

Riley felt cold hands on her shoulders, gripping them firmly and shaking her slightly. She gasped and tried to shake off Charlie's grasp but it was too strong.

"Let go of me!"

"You don't mean that!"

"Let go of me, Charlie!" She felt her body being pressed on the wall, as she dared a peek into his eyes. They were fiery like molten lava, staring at her with unrestrained anger.

"Lucas is not good for you, Riley," His voice was cold and menacing as he strengthened his hold on her. "He doesn't deserve you!"

Riley squirmed in his arms as he leaned down trying to whisper into her ear.

"Don't do something you'll regret later."

With a great sigh, she pushed him off her. He stumbled back and tried grabbing her to balance himself. Riley trying hard not be back in his grasp, tried to steady herself by catching an edge of the long mirror that stood nearby. She lost her footing and it came tumbling down with her, shards of it breaking off in every direction.

"Riley?" Lucas's voice drifted through the door, rocketing Charlie's anger through the roof.

He went for Riley again and she shrieked as she fell onto the broken glass.

"Riley!" Lucas yelled anxiously, shaking the doorknob trying to get it to open. "Gardner, open this damn door!"

"You don't truly love him, Riley," Charlie hissed. "How can you love someone who has never loved you the way I can?"

Riley sat on the floor, her expression blank as Charlie sauntered towards her. He leaned down and curled his hand around her arm and yanked her up. His eyes landed on her lips and he was about to kiss her when her hand flew onto his cheek.

He touched his cheek gingerly feeling it heat up from the sting of her slap. His nostrils flared and Riley saw something in his eyes that made her stomach churn uneasily.

"I have done nothing but love you, Riley!" He shrieked shaking her madly. "And you choose him? Lucas Friar of all people!"

"Charlie love isn't that simple--"
