The man in his white cloak stepped forward. He eyed me like a toy rather than a person. I stepped back barely able to keep myself from vomiting from each wet footstep I took. He advanced and grabbed my throat.

"Look kid, I really did think you were cool. I thought about taking you to a church to purge you peacefully." He said smiling like a kid in a candy store. I try to resist his grasp.

"Erica, come here. Give me the holy water. I want to pour it down his throat, and watch him burn from the inside." After he said that a girl stepped out of the dark. She had the clothes of a nun. She brought a small bottle with a cross up into view. As she went to give it to him, she tripped and the bottle fell to the floor. As she went to grab it, he stepped on her hand.

"You stupid bitch. Can't you do anything right?!" He said stomping her hand three times. She cried out every time he did. As he went to step on her hand again, I snapped.

"That's enough!" I said as my hand began to glow. I grabbed his arm and began to squeeze. He cried out, as I tried to break his arm. He swung me into the wall. I tried to struggle. He flung me into the wall.

"Damn you!" He said rubbing his forearm. He turned his attention back to the girl. He walked over and kicked her aside.

"Stupid bitch! I knew I shouldn't of taken you. Though those assholes at the church demanded I did." He said picking up the holy water. He began to walk my way. He uncorked the bottle, and picked me up by my shirt.

"Now let your soul be free!" He said tipping the bottle. Something finally clicked. My eyes flew open and my arm began to glow. I felt adrenaline run into my body. I flung a punch straight into his chest. He flew backwards into the wall.

The bottle flew high into the air. I hit it with my, now metal, hand. Some liquid spilt out, but the rest splattered the wall as the bottle broke. It fell onto my arm. A never before felt searing pain filled my body. I yelled out as the skin on my body nearly melted off my bones. I staggered up
And walked to the man. He was just now recovering from my throw. I grabbed him by the shirt and slammed him into the wall.

"Well things aren't going well for old Frabio." He said staring at me. He began to struggle and I slammed him again. I couldn't control the rage building inside me.

"Good thing he always has a back up plan." Frabio said reaching under his coat. He threw a small plastic ball on the ground. It burst and smoke covered the room. I coughed and wheezed from the horrid smelling gas that cloaked the room. When the smoked had dissipated, Frabio was gone and so was the nun he brought along.

"What's going on in here?" Yelled Riah seeing how banged up I was, and the state of the living room. I explained it all to her on the way back to the Divinity Club. I asked why it took her so long to get in the house. She explained the house suddenly locked down with holy magic. It began right after she left to go around the back. She also said it might have activated after the priest knew I was inside. When we had finished talking, the Divinity Club building was already in sight. She set me down and landed a little farther away.

"I want you back in this very spot tomorrow. We need to tell Kaede about what happened. Not only that, but also about what happened to your arm." She said dismissing me. I nodded and ran home.

"Come on! Can there just be one day when nothing happens to me." I said turning onto the bridge that overlooks the ocean. I continued to run rather than admire the scenery. Out of my view a small figure moved in the alley ways studying me. I felt the feeling of being watched and I stopped. I looked behind me, but nothing came into view. Then an overwhelming feeling hit me. I became weak and nauseous. My legs wobbled and gave out. I was left huddled on the ground unable to move. Then I heard metal on concrete.

"Hello Devil. I didn't expect you to awaken, but you have. This is interesting." said the small voice from behind. It sounded oddly familiar.

"What have you done to me?" I asked barely able to speak.

"I'm merely making sure you don't cause trouble, and attack me. I'd have to kill you and that would be against my orders not to get involved." The voice said.

Then I knew who it was. It was the girl from the English Cross. Alice was her name.

"I'll be on my way Devil. I'll be keeping my eye on you." Then I heard metal clanging, then just silence. I was able to move a few seconds later. I slowly got up. The nausea wasn't fully gone yet. I was making sure I didn't throw up in the process.

I leaned against a wall, and waited the feeling out. Then I slowly made my way to my father's apartment. When I arrived he questioned why I was so late. I told him I was at a friend's place. He was happy to hear that I was making friends. I took a shower and did all the other stuff. Then went to sleep on the couch.

"Now, how did you awaken?" I said lifting my arm into view. The metal was gone and it returned to normal awhile ago.

"I wonder what Kaede can tell me about it. I guess I'll have to wait til tomorrow." I said rolling over to finally try and sleep.
