"Was that... normal?"
"Yes and no," Kiera said after hesitating for a few seconds.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"He's not exactly a normal person...or so I heard."
So he's weird? As the elevator doors opened, the look of confusion didn't leave my face. Kiera adjusted her crutches under her arms before making her way down the hall with me right beside her. She only glanced at me before she started to laugh.
"All I'm saying is that I heard a story or two about him, but I highly doubt they are true. Plus, rich people in general are weird to me," she explained. We walked a few steps down the hall before we stopped in front of a wooden door. I opened the door for her, and she hopped on in to the desk in the corner of the room. In the half empty classroom, a few heads turned her way. A few eyes lingering on either binding around her foot or on the short shorts she had on longer than others.
"What are the stories?" I quickly moved behind her, shielding her from others until she sat down.
"Trash. Just trash."

"Congratulations!"
I smiled as I took another strawberry out of the small container in the middle of the table and ate it. The pairs from the surrounding tables stopped talking and looked at us.
"Sorry. Sorry," Jin quickly apologized to everyone, and I couldn't help but to laugh at the embarrassed look on his face. When the attention was away from him, he quickly took a strawberry and ate it in one bite. "I knew that you would get it."
"That's not what you said last week though." I ate one more strawberry before Jin took the last two for himself.
"Those were words of motivation."
The professor looks up from his phone and dismiss the class. However, students were already making their way to the door before he could finish his sentence. I put the lid on the container and place it in my bag, and Jin stands up with a clap of his hands.
"Let's go out to celebrate."
"You know I have another class after this," I sighed.
"I'll pay."
"Okay, let's go." I stand up and sling the small book bag on one shoulder. We left the now empty classroom to step out into the sparse halls. Jin is... Jin. We only have one class together that meets two days out of the week, but we became fast friends once he got over his initial shyness. We made our way down a flight of stairs that led to the main entrance of the building. As we turned to go out the doors, a yell was heard.
"Juno!"
Before I could register who called me, I was already pulled into a bear hug that had me standing on the tips of my toes. One arm went around my waist while the other went behind my neck. I would've complained, but he smelled good. I wasn't sure if it was his natural smell or some type of cologne, but it was good. Good and familiar.
