Chapter 6: Ghostly Wail

*Your POV*

Tucker was still shielding himself and screaming when we appeared by the Nasty Burger. But he finally stopped, looked around and saw that we were safe. "You got the medallions off, didn't you?" He asked us.

"I don't accessorize well." Sam said, arms folded in front of her chest.

"Unfortunately, Danny's still stuck in the future fighting his jerky older self! We've gotta help him!" I said, desperately. I was worried like any girlfriend of a superhero would be. I just wanted him back safe and sound.

"Tucker? Sam? (y/n)?" hollered Jazz's voice. She starts to approach us and she didn't look very happy. "You got a second? Let me answer that for you. Yes, you do." She said and pointed an accusation finger at us. Oh boy, she must be upset!
"I know Danny stole the answers to the C.A.T. That he's going to cheat!" She said. I look over at the other two with a scared look. Oh great, Lancer knows Danny stole the answers. Could this day get any worse!

"Actually, Danny wasn't going to--" Sam starts to say but she was cut off by Jazz.

"Sam, enough. I know more than you think I do. Alot more. So I suggest when you see Danny, you tell him I wanna talk to him. Tonight! Because if I don't, I will be talking to our parents and Mr. Lancer tomorrow." And she walks away from us.

"Lancer knows Danny has the answers?" I asked them.

"Oh man, is he in trouble." Tucker said.

Sam gasped and replied. "That's gotta be it. Danny cheating is the thing that leads to that horrible future!"

Tucker looks at her and holds up his hands and said. "Let me get this straight. Danny gets caught cheating on a test, and you and I pay for it with our lives and (y/n), not only lives, but gets ghost powers? How is that fair?"

*Danny's POV*

I slowly open my eyes, well at least I'm still alive. When my vision comes into focus, I see a statue in front of me. "Mom? Dad?" I questioned as I rolled on to my knees.
The statue was of mom, dad, Jazz, Sam and Tucker with an epigraph on a large pedestal reads GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN.

I try to move my arms but I looked down and see them bound to my side by a glowing green rope. I look over to my side and see a statue of Mr. Lancer, which had sunk into the ground and the epigraph reads MR LANCER - GONE. "Where's the Nasty Burger?" I think aloud and I look up to see a wrecked up Nasty Burger.

Suddenly, my older self walks around the corner and said. "Strange how one massive fireball of highly combustible condiments can ruin your whole future." I look down at my chest and notice I'm not wearing the medallion. "The to medallion?" I asked as he drew closer to me.

"Fuses inside you. Nice, huh? Intangible and unreachable whether you're ghost or human which means...you can't go back in time." He says as he raises his hands and a disc of green swirling light begins to form around his hand. "It doesn't matter if I go back in time or not. I'll never turn into you! NEVER!!" I spat at him.

He turns to face me and gave me a smile. "Of course you will." He said, then he turns human but it's me. A perfect clone of me. "It's only a matter of time." Then he seized me by the bonds and throws me into the portal.

*Older you POV*

Phantom throws Danny in the portal, which I know leads to the Ghost Zone, and I hear Danny screaming. "I need you out of my way and out of my hair while I make sure nothing happens to change my past. And luckily, this...." He monologues and holds up one of those medallions my younger self, Sam, Danny and Tucker were wearing. "...is all I need to make sure of that..." And there was a flash of bright light and Phantom disappears. Glad he didn't notice me I thought as I go tangible. I see the portal is still up and I run towards it before it closes.

As I entered the portal, I begin to look for Danny. I hope I'm not too late because every ghost here has a really good reason on wanting to destroy Phantom and if they find Danny, as his young self...well lets just say it won't be pretty.

It felt like an hour, but really was about ten minutes, when I finally saw Danny and unfortunately I was too late.

Box Ghost, Skulktech, Ember, Johnny 13, Kitty, Johnny's Shadow all at once attacking him.

I aim my hand at Johnny's Shadow and blasted it with a bright light from my ecto-beam. The shadow screamed in agony before he disappeared. Johnny and Kitty look around horrified and finally see me, their face  turns to anger.

"Hey pick some one your own size!" I quipped as Kitty flew, angrily, at me. I raise an eyebrow, and quickly grab her arm and punched her in the face. She screeched in pain and started to claw at me but I grabbed her other hand and head-butt her and she falls unconscious.

I wave my hand to form a portal and threw her on there. "Kitty!" Johnny screams and rolled, on his wheelchair, towards me. "Don't make me beat you up, Johnny!" I plead to him but he still came after me. "Suit yourself!" And I fly over him and grabbed the handlebars on the back of the wheelchair and rolled him into the portal. I don't know where the portal leads to but I know it's far away from here.

Three down, three to go! I think as I turn and see Ember pinning Danny to the wall and I see that he is tired. I need to hurry.

But before I make it to him, I hear him yell then what comes out of him is that Ghostly Wail. I stop and cover my ears as I see Ember, Skulktech and Box Ghost being blown away.

When the wailing stopped, I made another portal and threw them into it. I look over at Danny and I see that the effect of the wail made him partially revert to human form. His hair was black and his eyes were ocean blue, just how I remembered them, but his body was still his jumpsuit and glowing.

"(Y/N)!?!?" He said surprised. I nodded and flew right next to him and wrapped my arm around him. "You OK?" I asked him. "No. My voice is changing, which means I'm going through evil puberty. Everywhere I turn my stupid future is smacking me in the face!" He said, angrily.

I give him a saddened look and take a deep breath. "I know seeing all of this is hard but I need to get you back to.." But Danny interrupted me.

"(y/n) how did this happen? How did I become so evil? And how did you get ghost powers?" He asked me.

So many questions, so little time.

I needed to get him home and stop Phantom but he does need to know so that hopefully he can prevent this future from happening. "I don't know the full details but I know someone who does and about my..." I started to say but suddenly Danny was hit on the back of the head by something before it started to drift off.

I grab the object and recognized it as the Booooomerang Danny's father was working on days before he died. I noticed there was a note tied to it by a green headband that looked familiar. I handed it to Danny as it was addressed to him. "A note?" He asked and opened it. "Wisconsin? Plasmius." He said and glares at me.

"Is he involved in all of this?" I look down and nodded. "Sort of....and he was the one I was gonna take you to. He was also responsible for my powers." I replied as I raised my hands and they glowed (fav color). Danny stares at me, shocked, and says "But why did you let him do this to you?" I start to feel tears in my eyes as I look at him. "Because it was the only way." I cried.

And I did something I haven't done in a long time, I cried. Danny floats to me and puts his arms around me and I wrap mine around him. We stare at each other for a few seconds and he takes his thumb and wipes the tears outta my eyes. I forgot how it felt to have him by my side, hugging me, comforting me and loving me.

All of those old feelings come back but I can't let them show. I mean he is fourteen and I'm 24, so right now I'm little too old for him. I need to get him back to his own time. "You know the many times I've fought your older self, I kinda forgot how cute you were back then." I giggled.

"Wow! An older woman likes me!" He said, with a smile, and I laugh. God I forgot how his smile made my heart flutter. "Well I am an older version of your girlfriend, so yea I like you but I need to take you to Vlad so you can go back to your time and to the right me." I said and start to fly off.

"Follow me." And with that the both of us took off to Vlad's portal. Hopefully Vlad can help and I can get Danny back home in time.
