how to: not be a basic bitch + things that piss me off

1. CREATE YOUR OWN DIALOGUE.
i see many fanfictions where people just make their character say whatever another character says. that is boring and makes me feel like im watching the show ALL OVER AGAIN. make it interesting :)

2. KNOW THE SCRIPT.
before writing your story, please pull up a script. it makes me sooo super mad when the dialogue isnt correct. all you need to do is find it online and pull up whatever episode your writing about. if you dont have netflix all episodes are online. if you are writing about season 2, all episodes are on the mtv app and mtv website. (if you cannot get into the app or website, create an att email and it will get you in)

3. YOUR CHARACTER DOESNT HAVE TO BE FRIENDS WITH AUDREY/NOAH OR APART OF THE GROUP.
in most of the fan fics i read taking place in season one the character is part of one of the two things above (sometimes even both). there was this one story i read where the author had an amazing idea to make her character the daughter (i think) of brandon james

4. I WANT MORE WILL BELMONT.
will is such an underappreciated character which makes me mad because he was my favorite and i cried for him :(. but just because will was hung up on emma the whole entire time, doesnt mean you cant write a fan fic about him. youre already changing it by adding your character in, so why not change it a little more. your character doesnt even have to date him, it can just be a little thing (which doesnt have to involve sex). and just because emma can move on, doesnt mean will cant

5. CHARACTER DOESNT HAVE TO FIND KIERAN ATTRACTIVE.
i personally hate kieran with all my gut and i dont think hes hot. and in like evERY SINGLE FAN FIC she thinks hes hot. but if you think hes hot, make your character think he is too, you do you

6. YOUR CHARACTER DOESNT HAVE TO BE WHERE EVERYONE ELSE IS.
theres is a specific reason why emma is the only one involved in everything. SHE IS THE FREAKING MAIN CHARACTER. your character is not. let me point out that will, jake, kieran or brooke are not in the hospital scene and audrey nor kieran are in the bowling place. please dont make your character involved in everything. i have already watched the show, i am aware of what happens

7. GHOSTFACE DOESNT HAVE TO CALL OR TEXT THEM.
if you are writing about season 1, as i recall, emma is the only one who repeatedly gets bothered by piper (SPOILER). brooke and riley were a few times, but i dont recall anyone else (please correct me if im wrong). your character does not need to be added to that list

8. 'NO COPS EMMA AND C/N'
PLEASE do not do what ive written above. this is one of the things that piss me off the most and also ties in with the one above this. just because your character is or isnt related to emma, doesnt mean they have to go through everything emma does

9. MORE ELI HUDSON
eli is such an underappreciated character and deserves more love (really hoping hes gonna be coming back next season)

but this is my first chapter of this book. if i have offended you, im terribly sorry. there is no need to come at me and say bullshit about this. i specifically said in the title 'things that piss me off' so you could expect me to get brutal. but if you really feel the need to go off on me, take in home to the chickens and cows ;). next i will be posting something about jake fanfictions, which will be equally (if not more) brutal.
