Chapter 14

Kanan and Ezra were running from stormtroopers. They were sent to get intel and while they got it, it involved blowing up an entire Empire ship. So you can guess why.

"Get behind those crates!" Kanan yelled and Ezra had to go across away from Kanan, so he was pinned down alone.

Kanan panicked when the stromtroopers were going after Ezra. Kanan's lightsaber buzzed to life and started to draw their attention. Kanan blasted their shots away and yelled at Ezra, "Get over here! Its not safe there!"

Ezra readied himself and dashed so fast, it was like you couldn't see him. He used the force, Kanan thought and smiled proud. Ezra grinned also and deflected shots. They fought side by side and soon the troopers were gone.

Kanan deactivated his lightsaber and faced Ezra. "Lets go son. We have to go," Kanan said and they started running.

Kanan could see Zeb running towards then and suddenly a shot rang out and everything stopped.

Kanan froze and slowly turned around to see Ezra hunched over with his hand on his ribs, and then looked to see Kanan.

Fear was on his face, he looked down at his palm and then looked back at Kanan. He then dropped to the floor.

Few minuets ago:

Ezra started to run after Kanan but he was a little behind. Zeb was running towards them but Ezra sensed something, he then heard a blaster, he remembered Kanan facing him.

He remembered holding his hand and blood was on it. He remembered everything getting blurry then blacking out.

Kanan saw Ezra drop and heard someone running behind him but he didn't care. Troopers were coming out but Kanan focused on the one trooper who shot Ezra....who shot his son.

Kanan felt rage and wanted to have revenge. He almost did but remembered Ezra and he wasn't like that.

Kanan ran to Ezra and deflected the shots. He heard heavy footsteps behind him and sensed Zeb. "Grab him and we have to run quick!" Kanan shouted and Zeb had rage at the troopers but grabbed Ezra bridal style.

"Follow me!" Zeb yelled and Kanan used the force to throw crates at the troopers and ran after Zeb.

Kanan was thinking of everything. He felt Ezra drifting and pushed away tears. "We have to hurry, Ezra's drifting." Kanan said and looked behind to see no more troopers. He sighed and just tried to stay strong. He could feel Ezra clinging on to life and panicked.

Kanan sensed danger and quickly shoved Zeb to the side. A shot rang by them and saw troopers coming at them. "Take Ezra and I'll hold them off!" Zeb said and handed Ezra to Kanan who was trembling with fear of losing his son.

Kanan nodded at Zeb and took off while Zeb fought with rage and power. Kanan ran down the streets and saw blood all over his shirt and Ezra. "Stay with me Ezra, stay with me. Please." Kanan begged to his son and still sensed him clinging. Kanan ran passed everything and everyone.

Kanan had to stop and hid behind buildings in an alley. "Can anyone hear me?" Kanan asked into his comm and heard static. Kanan let out a frustrated groan and tucked his comm away. He grabbed Ezra firmly and let out a shakey breath. He looked around and felt a cold breeze come by.

He shuddered and ran down the bare streets and tried to find Hera.

Kanan couldn't find help, Zeb or Hera. The comms weren't working and Ezra was getting cold. Kanan had set them down in an abandon building and locked the door. Kanan crouched down by Ezra amd held him in his lap.
