You had just sprained your hand from an unfortunate accident with the sidewalk the unfortunate part was mostly the sidewalk had won

Your boyfriends Alex was out of town filming for an important upcoming movie

You were proud of him but wished he could be here with you

You answered quickly "hey babe" you heard from the other side of the line

"Hey how's the movie going?"

"Good but I wish I could be with you wants going on back home"

"Oh nothing I just sprained my hand so my parents are bringing me back from the emergency room I had to get a wrap but I'll be fine"
You spoke calm not that affected by your small injury

Before you could even say bye Alex had hung up on you

You sighed as you made your way to your room

You wished Alex wasn't always so busy with his career and had more time for you

You called your best friend Julia to see if maybe she wanted to go to a movie or maybe even just come over

"Well vinyl come on and get dressed I'm taking you out"

You smiled as you began getting dressed
