Your p.o.v.
The cool, windy evening air blew through my (h/l) (h/c) hair, swaying it this way and that. I could smell the fresh batch of sweet and spicy rolls being baked for the lunch hour rush along with the smell of fresh fried rice that made my mouth water. The roads ran their predictable grid pattern and the lights of the stores, restaurants, and places of vice disappeared into the suns gentle rays that cast down into the earth, warming everything they touched. Shizume City itself was a vast, intricate, labyrinth of noisy streets and alleys. I could hear the incessant honking of cars from different vehicles along with the constant ringing and buzzing of electronics as me and the rest of HOMRA walked down the crowded streets. It was always a puzzling challenge of navigating through the crowds of parents with their children along with impatient business men, and teenagers that walked from store to store. I clutched Mikoto's hand tighter ad we walked, my fingers brushing against the cool metal of his silver ring. The smell of smoke from his lit cigarette surrounded me causing me to wrinkle my nose in disgust. Although the smell was intoxicating it was also at times putrid. I held Anna in one of my arms with her small arms wrapping around my neck and her head resting comfortably on my shoulder as she looked over my shoulder, her Ruby red eyes scanning the city through one of her marbles. Tatara walked next to me and next to him was Izumo and behind him was the rest of the clansman, each one minding their own business if they weren't quietly chatting with their neighbor. I look over my shoulder at the red clansman taking in their appearance. Even on a sidewalk flooded with people they all stood out, they we're all special. But my eyes were more focused on a certain vanguard. He had been avoiding me all day and I didn't know why. I didn't recall doing or saying anything wrong but then again...I had been away from people for so long I didn't know what was acceptable in society anymore. I couldn't help but feel my heart swell as I looked at how cute his chestnut brown hair was and how his hazel eyes shined in the sunlight along with the bright smile that adorned his features as he talked to Rikio. A small blush and smile start to appear on my face as I started to lose myself in my own thoughts but my day dreaming didn't last for long for the sound of Tatara's voice pulled me out of my thoughts. "Ah~! You look even cuter when you blush (Y/n)-chan~!" Tatara practically sang as he pinched one of my cheeks lightly causing my smile to widen and my blush to grow even darker. Then with a wide smile Tatara leans down and whispers in my ear "you wouldn't happen to be blushing about Yata-chan would you?" My smile immediately immediately turns into a look of shock along with my eyes widening in distress but I quickly cover it up with an innocent smile. "Of course not" I scoff "it's just really warm..." I say, drifting off slightly at the end of my statement. "Well that's a shame" Tatara sighs like he was hoping I would say yes "because I think his is from staring at you~" Tatara sang before standing up straight and starting a conversation with Izumo like nothing happened. My eyes widen once more and I whip my head around to see that Tatara was in fact telling the truth. Yata's cheeks we're dusted a dark red that only got darker when he noticed me, noticing him. A blush of my own starts to grow on my cheeks and for the few seconds that my (f/c) and (e/c) eyes met his hazel ones I showed off one of my beat smiles before turning my attention back towards the crowd in front of me, my eyes drifting down to look at my shoes with a blush on my cheeks and Yata's red face on my mind. I barely even noticed the other set of amber eyes that stared at me with a feeling I had yet to discover.
Yata's P.o.v.
I could only stand and watch as (Y/n) smiled at me causing my heart to pound so fast I thought it would burst out of my chest. Rikio's voice became indistinct and meaningless compared to (Y/n)'s (h/l) (h/c) hair that shined perfectly in the sunlight and her multicolored eyes that glimmered even in the shade making the flame on my cheeks only grow darker and hotter each passing second. Her smile gave me a relief I didn't even know I needed...but it also meant I had broke my own promise to stay away from her. Soon after (Y/n) joined HOMRA I noticed something about her made me feel a way I couldn't explain. At first I took it as mistrust, she was the new girl at the bar, the mysterious girl that no one knew about, the girl I had no reason to trust but as the week progressed I realized I couldn't keep my mind off of her. It didn't take long before reality hit me like a bullet train. I had caught feelings for the beautiful strain. I didn't act like I normally did around her but I couldn't tell her or anyone else...I don't even think I would know how, so I came up with a simple solution: avoid her completely. But even when I did when I did I couldn't but blush at the sight of her or even the sound of her name. Suddenly the throbbing in my started to fade as she looked forward once more, leaving me to long for the feeling she gave me when she smiled but the empty feeling in my chest was replaced with anger upon seeing that I wasn't the only one staring at her.
