About a year or two later, (Y/N) had been training with Asuma. He was like the father she never had, if she was upset, he would cheer her up. So when she found out he had passed away, it crushed her heart and she didn't leave her room for a week.
Shikamaru's P.O.V
I have been concerned for (Y/N), so I decided to visit her.
"(N/N)? You okay?"
"No...."
"You wanna talk about it?"
"Maybe...?"
"If you don't want to-"
I was cut off by being pulled into her room.
"(N/N)..."
She was crying into my shoulder, I rubbed her back hoping it would help her.
"I..I wish I d..did m..more..."
Seeing her like this broke my heart. I held her head up-
(Y/N)'s P.O.V
He grabbed my chin and kissed me.... it ended as quick as it started,
"(Y/N), it's not your fault!"
He hugged me again.
"Thanks Shika.... I love you.."
"I love you too, (N/N)"
