⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I know I made him angrier than ever now, but it was the only possible way of escaping. I'm still gagging by thinking of how his lips, and tongue touched mine, but I needed to come up with something to escape from him. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀He rubbed in his eyes, but his eyes widened as he saw me, in my booty shorts and top, and tears all over my face. I rushed inside before he could say anything, and closed the door behind me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Chloe, what are you doing here? It's 3:00 am, and what happened? I thought you were with Ricky?" He asked, concerned. I saw light burning in his bedroom, and Maddie slowly approached. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Wowowow, so Chloe... Nick stood at your front door?" Josh asked, as the three of us sat down on his couch. I nodded and wiped the tears off of my cheeks. "But I thought you were going to meet Ricky?" Maddie asked, laying her hand on my knee. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I frowned, "what?" I asked. Josh and Maddie stared at each other in concern, and then they turned their head to me. "Chloe, Ricky received a text earlier today, to meet him at the underground parking garage around 10pm" Josh said. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀My eyes widened and I shook my head. "N-no that's impossible." I said. "I can't find my phone for two days already." I said. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Josh dialed Rickys number, but it went straight to voicemail. They probably shut down his phone. I jumped up from the couch and started to walk back and forth nervously. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Sssh, Chloe" Josh said, embracing me in a hug. "Nick is going to kill him" I sobbed, while I could barely breath anymore. "We need to call the police, Josh. We need to" I yelled. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"He can't be far away from here, cause Nick keeps on appearing" I whispered, while I sat down again. Maddie handed me a glass of water and patted me on the shoulders. "What you did to Nick was very brave, Chloe. I would never come up with that" She said. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I weakly smiled at her, in- and exhaling deeply. And after ten minutes the police arrived. They walked inside and I explained everything to them. But everything that happened in London, they already knew. Because they've also read Project B. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"You can call me, I'm going to stay with her." Josh said, nodding at me. I smiled at him thankfully, but then Officer Clay got a phone call himself. He frowned while listening to what the man at the other side of the line was telling him. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Then his eyes flashed with pity, and he stared at me, the frown not leaving his face. "Okay, I'm going to tell her." He calmly said. He bit his lip and laid his hand on my shoulder. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Chloe, you might want to take a seat..." Officer Clay said, staring into my eyes, which were still filled with pity. My heart started to beat faster, thinking that he would tell me right here and right now that they found Rickys dead body. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Chloe, I'm so sorry of what I'm going to tell you. I just got a phonecall from the office. Neighbours of yours called us, to say that they've heard gunshots. So we've send one of us to the house you used to live in..." He explained. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀My eyes started to water and my heart almost beated out of my chest. "Your mother has been murdered, not long ago. Next to her body we found a note which said 'You're messing with the wrong person, Nick.'" Officer Clay said. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Maddie and Josh gasped, and the only thing I could do, was staring in front of me, in total shock. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
