We walk downstairs hand in hand and I see that there's someone waiting at the bottom of the stairs.
It's Kate.
I walk down the stairs more cautiously and as we reach the last step I try to slyly maneuver myself to be slightly behind Harry but of course 'sly' isn't exactly in my coordination book and Kate catches on quickly.
"Oh relax, I'm not going to hurt you" Kate spits out bitterly
I wince just from the tone and pure venom in her voice.
Why does she hate me so much, she doesn't even know me...
"Lay off" Harry growls and Kate growls back, but her's is more predator than protector
"Hey guys, calm it down ok?" Zayn says, and Harry and Kate relieve from their stiffness, seeming already calm
"Harry" I whisper and tug his shirt. He gets the message and lowers his ear to my mouth, "I wanna know more about their powers...Do you think they could explain and...and maybe show me?"
"I'm sure they won't mind" he whispers back, "I'll send Louis a telepathic message to explain to him and make sure he makes it seem like it's nothing to do with you"
I nod, grateful for the last part
"Hey Guys, why don't we explain our gifts to Harmony and do a demo?" Louis suggests and the others nod
"Wait" Kate says, raising a perfectly manicured hand, "I want to appologise"
I stare at her in shock
"Sorry I almost killed you" she says, slightly warmer then her normal tone
I nod and smile shyly
"But don't think this means I like you. I still despise you" Kate hisses and my smile falters
"Kate!" Tiffany scolds her, "Be nice!"
Kate huffs and goes and sits next to Niall on the couch. I notice they're all grouped together in their couples.
Kate and Niall next to each other on the couch, Zayn next to Niall on the couch, Trinity perched on his lap, Piper in Louis' arms standing by the couch, Tiffany and Liam on the love seat and...
Me and Harry, standing at the bottom of the stairs.
Which reminds me...are we a couple? I know we kisses and I know he answered me with kissing me but...is it official?
I so don't have enough information on human-vampire relationships
I turn my mind from the subject and ask who's first to tell me about their power.
"I'll go first, although it's probably useless" Louis says, standing up and walking to me
"I can read minds, though bizarrely not yours. I can read their minds from only a distance of here to the school, so not far but I can tune in and out to each person or block them out completely but I have never encountered someone already blocked. It's fascinating. As for an example..."
Louis begins, looking around the room
"Hmmm...Well I can't think of one to be honest"
"Don't worry I believe you" I say inclining my head to Harry. He nods in understanding, knowing I knew about the telepathic message
