~Back Home~
I walked into the house to only see Lithium on the couch. Her head snapped to the door the moment I closed it and she jumped up from the couch.
"Oh my! Lucy?! Are you ok? You were gone a while!"
I sighed. "Yes. I'm fine, Lithium." She then started to pout.
"I thought you had left for good." I could feel my heart sink to my stomach. Just then the door flew open and Lithium shouted.
"Looks like you made it back in time."
The door then shut again and I felt an eerie presence behind me. My father. I could feel him getting closer and his footsteps grew louder. Before I could do anything he walked right past me, not noticing me at all.
"Good evening father!" His cold gaze went towards me and all he said was,
"Hm? Oh, thank you Lucy." I could feel my whole body becoming stiff.
"Where's your mother?" He added. I couldn't remember at the moment, so I stood there like a statue. Then it hit me.
"OH YEAH! THERE WAS A FAMILY EMERGENCY SO SHE HAD TO LEAVE TO GO SEE IF EVERYONE WAS OKAY!" I'm pretty sure I had the creepiest smile on my face, because I was happy I actually remembered the reason why.
"She didn't say who thou-" Just then my father's hand rose into the air and came down and connected with my left cheek. Tears spilled down my cheeks as I yelled,
"WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR?!" He cut his eyes back at me.
"I don't have time for your excuses." I cold chill ran down my spine.
"WELL THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!" His eyebrows furrowed together, as I felt a soft tapping on my lower back.
"Sissy?"
I yelled, "WHAT?!" And I turned around only to see my baby brother. "I'm so sorry. I must've scared you.
He sniffed. "You did." Tears were dwelling in his eyes.
"I'm so sorry Louis." A single tear fell from his eye, and I grabbed him and hugged him tight.
"I'M SORRY! PLEASE DON'T CRY!" I let him go and stepped back. "Why aren't you in bed?! It's already 10:30!" He looked at the floor.
"Well, I wanted to see you big sis!" A faint smile fell upon my face. Father walked up to him and placed his hand on his left shoulder.
"Go get in bed Louis." Louis ran back up the stairs to his room. Father's eyes then fell back upon me. "Lucy." he said sternly. The smile wiped off my face. "You do NOT, yell at my son." I glared my eyes back at him.
"I didn't MEAN to!"
He lifted his hand and pointed at the door.
"I don't care if you meant to or not. Just leave. Come back when you're not in the mood to piss me off."
I marched to the door and sighed. Time for an adventure.
~In The Woods~
I walked slowly as the leaves below me crunched like chips. The night air was chill, so I was freezing. I then heard rustling in the bushes.
"Hello?" I said worryingly.
"Oh! Hello!"
I jumped, not expecting to actually be answered, and my heart started to race. A young girl with dark auburn hair, and royal blue eyes, came out from behind a bush.
